The only information useful is that some trade which may concern the rockets is being discussed and will be determined in a week. That's it. Don't waste time guessing, just watch.

Marion yes, but I can honestly not see the Suns trading Nash and Marion together. Maybe Nash for Kobe OR Marion for Kobe, but no way Nash AND Marion for Kobe.

The Suns would never trade Nash, even if its for Kobe. He's about as untouchable as it gets.

I agree with the theories that the first part of the post is a misdirection - you're supposed to think the Rockets might be trading T-Mac but they're not going to do that (or trade Yao either) - and the second part involves other teams in a deal that the Rockets might or might not take a hand in.

If they trade both, the Lakers obviously have to give more than Kobe. Odom?

Nash is aging. Kobe has more future. I am sure the Suns would at least entertain the offer. But I agree, it's a long shot. The Denver deal is more probable.

I don't care if we trade T-Mac and Yao for the rights to Ryan Bowen. I'm just happy Pops is back!

I really hope we don't trade T-Mac or Yao. I don't think the Rockets would do it.

You may need to kill LES twice before he traded Yao.

My thoughts- I tried to read through the thread, but I got to excited and had to add my 2 cents. Sorry if lots of people already came to these conclusions.

    1) the trade mark thing means Tmac is included.

    2) the setting sun thing I agree probably refers to California.

    3) The sluggish star is Steve

    4) Mutombo is included.

So I think it's basically TMac, Steve and Deke for Kobe.

you know the Lakers are still looking hard for a trade, especially since the chicago thing is supposedly dead for now. (could the african comment refer to Deng?) TMac, Steve and Deke would be the best offer they got so far. Deke could be a good tutor for Bynum.

The problem is the contracts that don't allow trading of Steve and Deke until Dec 15. But all pops said was we'd know in a week, right? Maybe we'd know, but the deal wouldn't actually go down until then.

now that I think about it, that sounds crazy. why would they let it out that 3 players are going to be traded in a month? superbad for team chemistry/morale. Plus it seems like a lot of goodwill squandered (Deke re-signing, SF coming back for super cheap, Tmac being a fan favorite).

oh well. It seems just as likely as the crazy 3/4 team monsters people are dreaming up in here anyway. (trading Yao and ending up with Kobe/TMac on the same team. now that's crazy and unlikely).

well I guess we'll see. my prediction is that nothing happens. (i.e. the team decides not to do it)

What a great idea! Let's tank the season less than 3 games into it for an inknown commodity! Not smart.

(lol, feels good to be able to say that in a thread)

The team looked sluggish which says to me point guard in addition to Kobe.

Maybe some three or four way deal where we end up with Bibby and Kobe while giving up Tracy plus.Phoenix sounds to be involved as Barbosa is ready to run point.Nash and Marion getting moved.......tough schedule coming up over the next week so we wait and run with it before any deal.

The trade is supposed to solidify next week - that excludes Steve and Deke as they can't be traded for another 6-8 weeks.

    2 separate issues.
1 is some heat between players and coach.
    Tracy? No.
    Battier? No.
    Hayes? Doubtful.
    Yao? Maybe.
    Rafer? Probably.

The 2nd issue is a trade. Kobe for ? I'd say Denver or Yao - but doubtful on the Yao.
