the mad hatter has nine lives. alabama moves the ball all half but can't seem to crack the 30 yard line and after 4 field goal attempts, he only gives up 3 points. then alabama has one blown coverage and lsu is down at the goalline. but alabama appears to get the stop (WATCH THE FAKE!!). and i'd laugh at verne for thinking a 40 yard completion was an interception but my brain almost thought the same thing the way sheppard caught it just like a free safety on an overthrow. you never see 2 receivers by 1 defender and a receiver catch it like that.
LSU with a very lucky 1st half. Game should not be tied. I agree with Gary Danielson that Les Miles played Jordan Jefferson in earlier games specifically to have him ready for Alabama. I guess Lee won't be returning unless Jefferson flames out bad. Unless LSU puts together some drives in the 3rd quarter, I expect Alabama to wear LSU's defense down and take over in the 4th quarter.
This is a good reminder of why I'm glad my team plays in the Big 12. These types of games are unwatchable.
Defense wins games, and these are the 2 best defensive teams in college. What did you expect? It was going to be a low-scoring game.
I can see how someone who isn't a fan of either teams would think it was a boring game. ...but for me, this is some intense ****.
This game is why I hope UH gets to play Boise State in a bowl game. Defensive minded teams are boring
