Huh? I don't follow your second paragraph at all. Boise State would lose to Bama, LSU, S.C., Florida, Arkansas (fun game) IMO. BSU beat OU that one time... but we'll never know since the SEC never plays BSU in the BCS. They get teams like TCU and everyone thinks they're good. Even when they lose a conference game in-between their "dominance". It seems pretty straight forward to me. Boise State hasn't played anybody THIS YEAR (not in the past, that's irrelevant, its a new year), they don't deserve to jump a 1-loss SEC team.
So Florida lost to Georgia on a neutral field. Boise beat Georgia at Georgia. Yet Florida would beat Boise. It sounds like you're starting from "Boise sucks" and ignoring actual on-the-field evidence to reach your conclusions. Georgia is likely to end with a 6-2 SEC record and SEC East title, yet they are conveniently ignored in your "Boise has beaten no one". They are about as good as Arkie, SC, and Florida, so if they qualify as no one, then the SEC is Bama, LSU, and a bunch of nobodies.
Sorry - that should be a 7-1 SEC Record and 10-2 or 9-3 overall record for Georgia (depending on the GaTech game).
Ha. I'm taking an SEC battle tested Florida, after having a full season to take-in Muschamp and Weis. But fair enough, I'll give you Florida. Lets be logical and drop all the fairytale-fantasy-wonderland arguments. Put Alabama in the MAC or WAC or wherever BSU is and I'd be saying the same thing about Alabama. I know they're good, but you've gotta play somebody, regardless of who's fault it is. You ain't play nobody, you ain't got no dick. That's hows I sees it. Who has Boise State played THIS year? Georgia? Do they honestly deserve to jump a 1-loss SEC team based on that? Oregon might end up with 1 loss too, should Boise jump them? IMO, if Oregon loses to LSU & Stanford I'd STILL put them ahead of BSU. I know, I know, I'm in the minority and those super accurate computers would never agree with me. I just look at what they've done THIS season, since that's what your supposed to do, and I don't see an acceptable resume. Do you HAVE to look at the past? If so, that's cool -- they beat powerhouses in bowl games like TCU, Boston College, ECU, Utah, and oh geez, one against OU, sweet.
It's weird that you keep mentioning this when I keep referring to their win over likely SEC East champ Georgia THIS YEAR - a time which you apparently refer to as a nobody because it doesn't fit what you want to believe. If all you want to do is look at this year, let's do that. Boise has a better win (@Georgia) than Florida, who has 0 wins over ranked teams. South Carolina's only good win is Georgia, at home, by a smaller margin than Boise beat them on the road. Boise also arguably has a better win than Arkansas, who had to pull off a huge comeback over a now unranked and mediocre A&M and has a home win over #22 Auburn. The only reason you think of those teams as really good is because of past years of SEC success, but by your own standard, you shouldn't be using that at all.
I said put the fairytale hypotheticals aside. What's your case for BSU being above a 1-loss SEC team.
lol, he posted actual facts about this season. they beat what will most likely be the sec east champion on the road. that actually happened dude. back in september. i believe the game was on espn. they both wore terrible uniforms. look it up.
SEC guy is worried Boise is gunna steal their other BCS spot. Lollercoaster. Here's a solution. Play them and beat them. Then you won't have anything to b**** about. Or you can try to go beat them in the boardroom by getting the bylaws changed. That seems to be the preferred method in CFB.
I knew there was a reason they always said early wins don't mean as much, this must be it. BCS honks have the memory of a goldfish. This system roolz.
Beating Georgia doesn't cut it for me. I still have a potential 2-loss Oregon team as being more deserving of a BCS game than Boise State. They played Georgia and that's it -- and that's that. I'm not gonna hand em' anything, earn it. They beat Georgia man. Georgia. Nowhere did I say the SEC was some kind of super power (it is though), I'm saying BSU's resume isn't worthy of a BCS bid, depending on how many 1-loss teams remain at seasons end.
Y'all are basically saying "beat em" and stop whining. I'm saying "play somebody" and then I'll stop whining. I don't care what the excuse is, what the obstacles are, just play somebody. I'm hiring the guy that went to grad school at Columbia, not the guy that got all A's at Blinn Junior College.
The BCS computers are likely going to tell you "beat em and stop whining". So, you best take their advice.
Y'all can bend over to for your technological overlords and patiently wait for 2012, but me, I'm gonna fight the good fight until the end. I'd rather die standing than live on my knees.

Fight the good fight for more SEC teams to play Boise OOC. Or better yet, fight to get them in your conference. Then you can show 'em whutz whut.
Well, let's start with your statement that they have beaten nobody. That means you believe Georgia is a nobody. Georgia is equivalent to SC, FL, and ARK, so they are all nobodies as well. That means a 1-loss SEC team will have only beaten nobodies as well. But they do have a loss. Therefore, Boise > 1-loss SEC. Happy? I'm only using your starting points here: that Boise hasn't beaten anybody and that we should not look at past history when looking at this season. What is your argument for a 2-loss Oregon or a 1-loss SEC team over Boise?
Those are hypotheticals. You're drawing conclusions based on a single game. You play the games for a reason. BSU hasn't really played any games now have they? Just 1. Just 1. They've played just 1 meaningful game. Just 1. Play the games, earn somethin'. Don't play em', you shouldn't get invited to the big boys' table.
Oregon's loss to LSU is more impressive than BSU's win over GA. Stanford is undefeated, as was/is LSU. BSU played Toledo. The rest of the guys get tested week-in and week-out, BSU had to get up for 1 game -- GA. Cool. Kelvin Cato got a triple double in the preseason once... don't crown someone until they prove something. Earn respect, don't expect it.
