Let the countdown begin! Six days until the biggest game of the season so far and possibly the year. Who do you think wins? Here's a look at both of their schedules: LSU: (3)Oregon: Won 40-27 *Played in Jerry's world* Northwestern State: Won 49-3 at (25)Mississippi State: Won 19-6 at (16)West Virginia: Won 47-21 Kentucky: Won 35-7 (17)Florida: Won 41-11 at Tennessee: Won 38-7 (20)Auburn: Won 45-10 Alabama: Kent State: Won 48-7 at (23) Penn State: Won 27-11 North Texas: Won 41-0 (14) Arkansas: Won 38-14 at (12) Florida: Won 38-10 Vanderbilt: Won 34-0 at Ole Miss: Won 52-7 Tennessee: Won 37-6 (Rankings reflect what they were ranked at the time of play, not current) LSU ranks: 99th in passing yards per game-183.1 30th in rushing yards per game-189.0 12th in points per game-39.3 3rd in points against per game-11.5 Alabama ranks: 63rd in passing yards per game-228.4 14th in rushing yards per game-229.3 11th in points per game-39.4 1st in points against per game-6.9 Should be a great game. I think that Bama ends up winning due to home field advantage 24-17
Been waiting for this thread. I chose Alabama because they have big advantages at QB & RB and their defense is just as good (or better) than LSU's. LSU has some incredible nasty athletes on defense. Can't remember seeing so many NFL guys on one college defense. But Bama's offense is much better than LSU's and their defense is just as nasty as a group. At this moment, I see Alabama winning by about 14 points.
and this is why i don't care too much about college football and the "national championship". the "two best" teams in college football and only one of them has a chance for the championship after the game, assuming the winner goes undefeated.
home field could be the decider. two sick defenses, two great running teams on O should be a low scoring, great game
There is no telling what type of crazy ass play Les has up his sleeve. All I can hope for is that it fails miserably.
Obviously god loves les miles so when he goes for it on 4th and 10 on his own 1 you know he will get it so I am going with LSU.
LOL. "Welcome to the Gameday live from Tuscaloosa at 5 am on Sunday morning. After 42 overtimes, the SEC and refs have decided to end the LSU-Alabama game tied 0-0 to protect the players on both sides who are all utterly exhausted and/or injured. No decision has been made on whether to resume the game later this year."

Bama is better on paper and better coached. But LSU is has been tested... tought call. I'll take the home team and I do believe the 1-loss SEC team should play in the BCS title game vs the undefeated one. A rematch. Yup, I said it.
