That's how the Lakers have always been since 2009... he still has those games though. Sure, they don't ask him to do it every night, but he has a stretch of games during the season where he goes off. It's usually around that time where the Lakers go on that long road trip.
if you watch him this year, he's not the same kobe. sure he still averages 25 points, but it's more the product of the system. before, he would go off by his own greatness. not the case this year most of the time
Like I said, the knee surgery has limited him. If you're saying he's fallen talent-wise... you can't really judge until he's played the entire season. Slower healing time whenever you get older... the greatness is still there.
Some people on this board are bigger James fans than you are. Simply, they have a higher expectation on James than you do.
You want to be the best, take the shot with five guys on you. I don't remember the past Laker jerseys had the shadow in the numbers. Maybe it's been too long.
Who is Robert Horry, Kenny Smith, Mario Elie? You miss every shot you don't take. Yeah, we remember them. Of course we do. We remember them as secondary guys who played next to the biggest stars in the game. That's what their legacy is.
you need to watch lebron more often if you think he shies away from shots like that. and abc2007, house won the celtics 1-2 playoff games with shots like that 3 years ago in their championship run.
It's not about expectations and who is a fan of who. It's a smart basketball play and it's silly for people to complain about it. And passing to a wide open teammate in the regular season is smart as hell because you can build up some confidence in them just in case you have to go to them in the playoffs.
