Wow, if you know anything about bigtexx, you know he HATES the Longhorns. I give credit to A&M tonight, they played a great game and won, which I expected given UT's recent track record in College Station. It takes nothing away from my previous posts about Aggie fans.
bigtexx is def not a horns fan...but anyways you know whats original...doing the horns down sign, constantly... you know whats pathetic? Having your entire school song about another school enjoy the win aggies i feel bad for any sheep in college station tonight
You're right .. I obviously don't pay attention to things he says and I should probably keep it that way. Probably just an attention w****. Anyways ... yeah it was a much needed game for the Ags, but I'm sure the horns will come back strong against us in February just like last year in Austin. I just wish the Ags would play with this intensity against teams like Texas Tech.
A&M is always going to step up and play bigger against UT than any other team, UT just doesn't do the same. The rivalry is much bigger on the A&M side than the UT side these days. With A&M's recent success hopefully UT will pick up the intensity sometime soon.
Wow, classy statements. I guess that says it all right there. Again, I implore you to focus on the game itself, the score, the final outcome.
I would hope not ... but yeah it was a much needed win . I expect it to probably be a much different story in Austin.
This game just showed UT's lack of quality big men. DJ was hesitant driving in the lane and UT couldn't get any big rebounds on either side of the court. A&M kept giving UT chances to get back in the game, but the Horns couldn't capitalize. This game along with the next stretch will be the biggest test of the Horns thus far - Baylor at home, at OU, at ISU, home to Kansas, then at Baylor.
There is another verse to the War Hymn that is for all schools (not just Texas). I for one never do the horns down sign, because would rather A&M identify with what we have done overall not just against one team (um....Tech). It was a good win for A&M, but overall not a great game, since Texas couldn't buy a basket and make it one. It will be interesting in Austin if both teams come to play.
Yawn. You should keep a copy of this post to paste into every thread after the Aggies beat the Longhorns in anything. Anytime the Aggies win, Horn fan comes out and says that it isn't a big rivalry to them...blah blah blah. Yep...about as original as a parking lot full of cars that have eaTme in shoe polish on the windows. Maybe. Of course with the Horns all singing the tune of "I've Been Working on the Railroad".... This is just too stupid for words...
TAMU stepped it up most against Kansas last year. Basketball wise I don't even see the big deal. We don't exactly get louder for the Texas game than we would any other ranked opponent.
Who the hell cares about a fight song? Are you serious? Its a fight song. Nobody gives a rats ass about a fight song. Fight song?!? LOL
Glad to see the Horn fans are staying classy......guess you can't if there was none to begin with. Great win for TAMU, they really needed this after the losing streak. 2 in a row.
Ive attended every conference home game thus far and that is the definitely the loudest its ever gotten in reed arena and the fact that our players played like it was their last game, gave us this much needed win....I have never witnessed a basketball arena this loud before with record breaking attendance tonight...
Really? Look, I'm not being classless, I already gave props to A&M in this thread. But it's a fact that the rivalry is much bigger on the A&M side, then the UT side, at least with current students. You don't see Texas fans walking around in shirts bashing UT, or driving cars with bumper stickers like "Saw 'em off." I graduated from UT in 2006, and A&M was a very distant second to OU as far as rivalries go. I don't think you can say the same thing about A&M. It' clear your team and you fans step up for games against us, he don't play with the same intensity. Credit to you guys, but if you played every game like it was against UT, you'd be in the running for national championships in football and basketball.
All the credit to the Ags. They played Augustine and Abrams about as good as you possibly can. In fact, I'm a bit worried that they laid out the blueprint for how to stop Augustine and beat the Horns. They made UT panic and start to chuck 3's with 30 sec on the play clock. On a positive note, how about Dexter Pittman showing a little of what he's capable of?
Ya really. Keep in mind that was a record breaking sellout. Last year the UT game was the same as any other ranked home game against conference opponents. The Kansas game (last game of the season) will destroy the Texas crowd I guarantee you that.
