Very happy with it, especially since they basically got away with murder in game 2 and we still had a chance at it.

I expect the Rockets to respond strong, and the game to be called more fairly. They freaked, got away with it, and now will be under scrutiny.

Rockets in 6, even the lakeshow can't get away with all that for more than a game.

Shane is who he is, but he needs to step up just like everyone else. He is a valuable role player who tends to play better at home.

Im happy we're 1-1, but unhappy we lost because of the refs. They took Ron out of the game and pretty much sealed our fate. Sure Yao being a nonfactor and Wafer acting up didn't help us out at all, but the refs gave the game to the Lakers. I would've been fine if we lost fair and square but not like this. I expect our team to come out the gates swinging(not literally) Friday and drop this Laker team right back on their asses

The Rockets did their job, just like they did in Portland. Stole homecourt advantage.

If someone had told me that we would end up coming back 1-1,I would have been satisfied. However,we didn't play like the way we should have and could not counter their adjustments despite good individual efforts from Landry and Ron. Losing Ron obviously hurt us which we can not afford again.

The bottom line is can we play team ball, execute and defend against pressure?
If we can do a good job despite their obvious advantages,we can make it an interesting series. If we can't ,we might not be able to win another game.

    This.

Now, all we have to do is take care of business at home.

I am not happy at all, actually very pissed .

Rockets shall lead 2-0 now if last nite's game is not rigged.

Even Rockets can protect all our home courts, the Lakers still will steal this series at game 7 at staple center.

why? because NBA is 100% rigged!

I agree with DD here... Honestly guys, it would have been a miracle for us to win that game. Game 1 is really all we needed. We just need to take care of homecourt, easier said than done obviously, but I think we can really take care of homecourt. I've been saying time and time again.. our defense here in Houston is phenomenal compared to how it is on the road. The Lakers CANNOT win unless this game goes into the 100's. That's why I see us winning games 3 and 4.

Of course we are in a perfect scenario....Protect home court, and we win.

But because of how last night went down it's easy to forget what we accomplished the first game. We all have that bitter taste in our mouths, and hopefully the players have it as well. We pretty much lost our composure last night. Wafer...Ron....Scola. We got mad and lost it. Hopefully tomorrow we let cooler heads prevail and learn to flop (please learn to flop Artest).

I think we pull it off in 6.

What I'm most happy about is the trajectory of this series. You look at Orlando v. Boston and it's going to be a really tough series for Orlando to win. They started off great (probably fueled by the rest they got compared to Boston who had to slug it out against Chicago), but ever since Celtics figured them out toward the end of Game 1, they have owned the Magic.

Compare that to our series against the Fakers. Game 1 was close, but we were steady and dominated them and showed we could withstand their spurts. Game 2 started out with them shooting lights out but we reeled them back in. The point is that both games have proven that we have the goods to pull the Fakers back down to earth (or as I like to think, expose them for the frauds they really are). Now it's going to be a dogfight, and we're like a German Shepherd and the Lakers are like a cute barking Chiuahua. They might get in the occasional dirty bite, but we're going to impose our will on them over the long run.

I think that 2-1 is a lot more important than 1-0. Game 3 will be the turning point in the series.

Game 2, regardless of the loss, showed me that the Rockets are truly a better team than the Lakers.

Lakers just play dirty and depend on both the refs and Kobe to win. I feel really confident going into game 3. I feel really confident about this series.

I agree with that....just as game 5 is important when the series is 2-2...but to go into LA against the alleged best team in the West and get in a fist fight of a series and come out with homecourt advantage is not too shabby.

Agreed. If we win game 3 I will be much more confident in our team. Right now I am a little uneasy.

I mean, yao, scola, and AB had horrible games right? And it was our second unit that got us back in the game right? PLUS were on homecourt the next 2 games. Im just not sure we can beat them in both.

    content maybe...but definitely not happy.

lakers can win on the road just as easily as we did. HCA does not matter in this series.

Rockets fans believe we got into the Lakers heads, and vice versa.

all cylinders must click in games 3 and 4.

i still sense a split in houston
