I don't think the Rockets are looking past Ron Artest as far as the free agent market goes. Morey has never once stated that he's going to be looking at this free agent class with any interest. If anything, it's always been assumed that we're going to be looking at any and all TRADE possibilities to address our needs, not free agents.

I'd love to have Hedo Turkoglu.

I've always loved that guy's game. He's tough, can create his own shot and is one of the more clutch guys in the league. Plus he seems to love Adelman...dunno if he'd take the paycut though.

i'd love to have hedo also, but im sure he'll resign with orlando. only reason i'll take marion over artest is marion can explode for 15 boards any given night and you dont lose anythign defensivley with marion. in fact, marion might be quicker...

I would rather Kidd for 2 years. One year as a starter, one years as a backup for either Lowry or Brooks. He has a lot to teach our young PG duo.

I guess I just don't like the guy for some reason. I don't have an opinion on his defensive versatility, but his offensive game has dropped off sharply.

Maybe working in Adelman's offense would rejuvenate him, but its hard to say. I would rather just resign Artest.

Marion needs a really good PG to keep up the scores.
    He's a good finisher.

He had Kidd and Nash, the reason he could put up 16+ppg.

We don't have a good passing PG to make the most out of his offense.

I haven't watched his game for the past couple years after Penny was traded.
    Is his explosiveness still there?

    He has slowed down considerably.

He dropped a 30 spot in the last regular season game.

Yes!! Marcin Gortat. Incredibly efficient backup for Dwight Howard.... I keep wondering why Stan Van Gundy always trotted out Tony Battie as the first big man off the bench. He is an extremely efficient rebounder for his size... he had 4.5 in just under 13 minutes per game. Per 40 minutes, that translates to 14.4.

Oops, I just quoted Hollinger....

how has nobody mentioned Andre Miller?

He's the #1 player i'd target on this list and it's a no-brainer, IMO. anybody else is a distant 2nd. as evidenced in this thread, the guy's gonna go through his entire career underrated as hell.

I understand he'll get more than 3mil, but 3 mil is what I would pay him. He's not that much better than Aaron Brooks will be next season. If you offered ATL a sign and trade of Bibby for Brooks they would jump that real fast.

Yes for Centers. I actually like Gortat and Zaza for back up center. There is no one in the draft at Center that we would be able to contribute this year unless we buy a top 3 pick.

Not everyone can do that I admit, but I don't see that explosiveness in him anymore. If he were at that level,a lot of teams would be very interested in him.

I like Ben Gordon's game. He is a better scorer than Brooks, but if he joins us there will be no role for Aaron.Management will have to trade him in a combo with McGrady.
Ron isn't a great defender anymore and has slowed down somewhat, but Ben doesn't have the size or the ability to defend anyone.

I am not sure if tmac contract has this good trade value in summer.
tmac still not sure when can come back...
I think if rockets want to trade him, it will be at the middle of next season...

Its not just Lebron/Wade/Bosh. There are a lot of other free agents out there in 2010, and we're one of the few teams with cap space in that year. Why settle for less this year when you can really rebuild your team a year later?

LOL what are you talking about? Battier, Tmac and Yao Ming's contracts all expire during that time. I think Scola's deal expires during that time as well.
