I hated wesley that year as well. My hate wasn't blind though. I hated him because of the Dal series. I don't know if its his or the coach's fault for him guarding Stackhouse, but we got killed that series because Stackhouse raped Wesley time and time again. After that, I wanted him out of the team. Actually, my hate, or to be more accurate, my dislike, for Wesley carried on to Luther Head. They've got the same deficiencies when it comes to guarding big, athletic wingmen like Stack or Barbossa who, I'm sure, will be killing us come play-off.
Man I loved that 04 team. That was one hell of an entertaining team. They finished 45-20 after starting 6-11. But this team is undoubtedly better and more equipped to beat Dallas and win a title. 1. Yao didn't break out into the dominant scorer he is until last yr. 2. When Yao was out, tmac showed that he can still be orlando tmac and basically score 35 every nights. 3. tmac's distributing game has improved, court vision, he can drop 10 times a night if he wants 4. more quickness in the backcourt, rafer and luther are quicker than sura, wesley, more able to match up with terrry/harris. 5. defensive flexibility with shane battier and chuck hayes - in 04 tmac had to carry the load on offense as well as guard dirk/howard/stackhouse. one of those guys was always burning us. now with tmac,shane,chuck,juwan and snyder we should be able to do much better on defense against dirk/howard/stackhouse. 6. way better home team, hc advantage, rowdies 7. mutombos resurgence 8. juwan on offense taking those open jumpers instead of bowen/weatherspoon. I can't wait to get Dallas in round 2!!!
