Steve Francis at PG positon is this team's weakness, don't need mention Cuttino Mobley at SG. Just way too many players in this league can do better PG job than Francis can at PG position.
The roster has changed enough. Now we have to focus on the coaching staff and I would dare say if you are going to make a change anyway let us make it now. Another drop in the standing sshould be the final straw. In we cannot see a major improvement in the next five games, let us cut our losses and go in a new direction.
The biggest problems this team has is at the forwards, and also in the rotation. Some of the wrong ppl are getting the majority of the playing time. PG - Mooch has actually been working out decently as a backup pg, aside from his horrid start (but it would be nice to have Terry ). Francis, no matter what ya'll say about him, should continue to be our pg. He'll get better. It's just a matter of getting used to the team and trying to find his role. SG - Mobley can hold down this spot well. Aside from some strange slumps, he's been doing pretty well (in fact I'd say he's fitting in better than Francis). But I do think Hawkins should be backing up Mobley, not Francis. SF - I think there's a rotation problem here. We have Posey, Rice, TMo, and Nachbar vying for pt. Rox are giving the majority to Posey and Rice, which looks good when you're looking at stats, but Posey doesn't deserve pt over Rice and TMo. Nachbar is still an unknown and probly should be kept mostly on the bench. But the sf pt should go mostly to Rice and TMo, TMo for his more all around game (although he has been able to hit the jumper pretty consistently in the games where he got significant playing time) and Rice for his offensive game (every few nights at least from 3 point range). PF - MoT has started to do much better. His shooting is a nice addition to the Rox offense. Although he lacks in D and rebounding, he's a great instant offense type of person off the bench. He could work well as a starter, but I'm happy with him as a main bench player. Griffin has been sorely dissapointing in all aspects but rebounding. He shouldn't be starting (should he even be playing so many minutes???).. but then again we don't really have many choices. C - Ming needs to start playing like he was earlier this season. His defense and offense seem to have fallen a notch, perhaps tiredness. Cato has been doing his job, props to him for not having much to bash about. The forward spots need work. It's still the Francis show this season, and most likely next season too. He needs to step up. Screw some of those fans out there who don't show respect.
1. the spurs have timmy... a veteran superstar , something we dont have 2. the spurs have 2 other vets... robinson and kerr, again, something we dont have 3. our GM got rice and then mo t 2 years ago with big contracts, both got hurt did not play with the team, mo t last year i think would have started with KT as backup and griff riding pine like boki is now, but mo got hurt and the rest is history 2 different teams in 2 different situations... and as far as what we need to do.... we need shooters at the 3-4 spot, maybe boki will start to fill in at the 3, and maybe mo t's ankle will be 100% for sure next year( i think he still may have some pains) i dont think the rockets will really do too much because we are still a few years from truelly continding with the elite teams on a nightly basis... unless we trade away some of our big contracts, maybe rice or even cato, but i think since mobley is working for a lot less money than he is worth he will be around for a while, and steve is supposed to be the team leader so he is set in stone with us, and yao is our future superstar who will hopefully be a rocket for life. rmember the rockets are still rebuilding, they are not able to look for the final piece of the puzzle... we simply are not there yet steve and yao need to pratice with one another during the off season but i dont know if china will let him .... yao needs to go to west side tennis club during the off season it has the best nba action outside of the nba and mario elie will give yao the fouls he didnt get in the regular season
God forbid we place any blame on our one power forward that has no post game, has no post defense except for shot blocking, and shoots lazer three pointers, our other power forward that can only get a rebound if there isn't anybody within 20 feet of him, our one dimentional small forward that plays zero defense and ocassionally hits a three pointer, our other small forward that can ONLY play defense and couldn't hit an outside shot to save his life
...or our Guards who are only effective when they can dominate the ball. It's like being in prison, A-Train, nobody's guilty.

You guys have 0 patience. In 92 and 93 were you all ready to bust up the team? Winners take time to build and you have to take your lumps along the way. How good does it feel to win a championship after you have had to work and struggle to EARN it? This team is new and needs time to a) mature and b) play together. Once EG, Yao, and Nachbar mature we will have a frontline that can actually matchup physically with any other team in the L. Give Steve more than 1 season at the point, Ii say he has 1 year b/c who would he have passed to before this season? Cato? Mooch? Collier? Langhi? Second, once this team plays together we will see things work much better. I dont play so I dont know, but it seems like there is really little time to practice during the season b/c of traveling/injuries/82games. With Yao a no show at camp we started weeks behind everybody else. If you all cant hold out until next season then you dont deserve to see what this team will become and we should trade everybody. I am guessing that the biggest rox fans are here, and it is a shame that the biggest supporters are the loudest asking for heads to role while much of the league realizes what we will eventually have here.
Right now. OUR TEAM HAS ALL THE MAIN PARTS....you know. The ones that aren't going anywhere and are making big money.. Steve Francis, Yao Ming, and Cuttino Mobley. They aren't going anywhere. Right now.....they aren't playing too well cuz they are injured. And Yao is always tired. And they barely know each other. BUT GOD. THEY NEED SUPPORT. First....we already have Cato. Which is a very nice backup who is getting less and less involved on offense...We got oldie Glen Rice. Who can still shoot. We are probably gonna get rid of James Posey. PLEASE. Keep Hawkins. Moochie's probably staying. I don't know if they are going to cut Maddox. Terence Morris....hopefully we resign him. Bostjan......well he's just on vacation. Eddie and Mo Taylor aren't going anywhere. The team looks pretty good...EXCEPT they need an offensive strategy and just more experience and chemistry. ALSO.........we need to acquire some shooters. That's all we really need. But along with the shooters.....we need an offensive plan that works....particularly the pretty ones with ball movement and less dribbling and ones with Yao Ming in it. Not with Posey.
