ok I just watched the suns game and the reason rox lost is no other than tmac... everyone did ok to get back except tmac who shot another low percentage from the floor, taken so many shots too and he is slow attacking the basket resulting in blocks by marrion and his half jumper half pass is just sickening. Just shows how unconfident he is yet he is still shooting and half way up he is passing. Even tmac plays better last yr with a bad back than he is now wtf is going on???

something is wrong with tmac and he needs to fix it. take a back seat my a**, he doesnt get paid 18-20 mil a year to watch yao play the post and to shot long jumpers all night. there is no excuse for him not leaving it all on the court and he is definitely holding back.

Can't you guys see that Tracy wants to freaking score, but for whatever reason, he's in a severe shooting funk?
Do you want him to clank 10 more shots per game, or would you have him contribute however he can, until his shot comes back?
He knows he needs to figure it out, until then, have patience.

The Rockets were coming off of a loss to the Jazz when they beat the Mavs, who had just one loss at the time to the Spurs. So both team were pretty much on the same boat when the Rockets beat the Mavs. Plus, they beat the defending champs in Miami.

Nah, JVG's a good coach. JVG doesnt miss free throw! JVG doesnt brick shoots. JVG can block any shoots in his mind!

JVG is also a creative coach ---> evidence ---> the Rockets had 38 3 pt FGA tonite. Coach instruction: give up your easy 2 and swing the ball for a open 3. Only playas brick it. You dumb brick playas, JVG'll trade your ass to Hawks tomorrow.

No kidding! This team still has not played their best ball, still has not had McGrady playing at his best, Bonzi hasn't made his presence in the rotation yet, they lose some decent depth and a spark-plug from injury (Snyder), and still have not even come close to fully gelling together.

With all of that, they still have 10 wins this month!!

No quality wins? That's like saying "Yao should dominate because everyone is shorter than him."

You play and beat the teams on your schedule.

Besides, before the season, would you have even imagined they would have been 10-5 right now?

whoa is that you jvg....refering to yourself in 3rd person...seriously though, i agree on your point.....BUT

What is JVG doing to put pressure on Tmac to produce...nothing...he talks about his passing, but you know what if we knew tmac was going to get 20-7-5, we probably wouldnt trade for him, francis would have given is those numbers. they paid for 27-5-5. JVG needs to be more demanding.

in other words, the numbers he put in his 1st year, im sure he is still getting the same amount of shots as then...there are enough shots to go around for him and yao, he just has to make them

MCGRADY ON FIRE HITTIN 3 3'S IN A ROW

    (the last minute :( )

I wonder why he didn't try that earlier.

I like his passing mode, but he needs his offensive game. He flashed it at the end but waaaay too late.

It's ok, we played the freakin' Suns for the second game of a back to back and we gave them a fight. T-Mac also was probably still hurtin' a little bit from that shot he took to the chest.

Some of the wins haven't been too pretty BUT i'm ok with a 10-5 record. I would like to see some more solid wins. I thought the Minnesota game was pretty solid.

It's not like you're going to be ahead 20 the whole game...there will be lead changes and points of the game where it is tied...

I'm happy enough. The Spurs lost so we're only 1 win behind them but the Mavs won.

Tmac is playing soft and rox has become a 3-pt shooting team (not a very good one mind you). We have no one to attack the basket except Yao. In the 4th quarter, when your legs are heavy, jump shots don't fall easily.

But the key is Tmac has to tune up his play a notch!

Err....he was trying to find his shot the ENTIRE game. By the time he did find it, it was too late. Poor dude, he looked really depressed afterwards.

The NBA season is about positioning ourselves for the playoffs. Shocking as it may seem, we will lose some games, we still have around another 15 to 30 to lose (i am actually pretty worried about some of the members here, don't do anything stupid).

Remember the 72-10 Bulls? They lost on opening night to the would-be worst team in the league, Boston. They then lost to two other cellar dwellars throughout the season, but nobody panicked because they knew that the championship was a quest.

We've seen some great ball from this team, and some poor, absolutely shocking ball. We've added several new players, two absolutley key players coming back from serious injury, and we're still in the first freakin month of the season! Are we expected to have the chemistry of the '86 Boston Celtics? After one month? I certainly didn't expect that..

If we still have these problems in March, then i'll be worried. But for now, we've played average basketball for the most part and won most of our games, including knocking off both last seasons conference champions.

It was one loss, let's look forward to the next game.

Yes McGrady needs to get to the next level but its not gong to be by his shooting he needs to go to the basket he is far too predictable his problem is really easy to fix just get to the free throw line more he gets the calls still. In watching him tonight when he was getting fouled they were mostly while he was passing the ball or in other words him being passive he does need to keep his team involved but he needs to finish games strong. On the bright Rafer and Luther are gaining lots of confidence and id Tracy becomes aggressive without being selfish it will make us a better team in the long run.

With me his shooting is not the problem it is his shot selection. To be honest he is playing like someone who does not want to get injured, way too many jump shots not enough free throws.

That was only against the Suns when there was nothing else left. He hasn't shot that many against other teams lately.

    Hehe.

If I couldn't shoot the ball to save my life, I would be calling myself a playmaker too :p .

    Just kidding.

We are who we are. We can beat almost all the least teams and mid to low pack west teams. So are we destined not to be any better? Too negative to believe that. Teams like Utah, Detriot, Suns, JVG always had problems dealing with. You play quick and fxck the paint concept, then JVG is doomed. I think we do need to throw zone a lot out there at those those teams that like to shoot at the first oppotunity.
