You have a fairly warped view of reality.

George Floyd was not reaching for a weapon. There's no evidence yet that Blake was reaching for a knife. Yet you make up your own version and list failing to comply is a legit reason to murder someone. When a white person fails to comply, rarely do they have a trigger happy cop shoot them up.

Get back to your white nationalists friends and share your stories of the evil noncompliant black men lol.

Statistically, you have a low chance of dying today. But you're gonna die. And you don't want to. End of argument.

Is this actually true? What are the numbers? What % of police interactions end up with a black person dead vs a white person dead? The stats in the article were just based on population, which isn’t really relevant. Curious is those stats exist, they have to somewhere?

Do people really think the man was going to try and take down 3 cops pointing guns at him... with a knife?

That’s some John Wick type ****.

It’s more likely that they just found a knife in his car... which is completely normal.

Sounds like a disgusting human being.

And the sentences the system gives to rapists are minimal.
I would be in favour if all of them were shot tbh by the state AFTER a trial or left paralysed from the waist down like he ended up or even better were NEUTERED in the most painful way.

However he wasnt put to trial.
He should be shot and left paralysed to give justice to the victim not because he didnt follow police orders.

This is stupid. Any permanent irreversible punishment is stupid. There have been many people convicted by a jury of their peers to find out a decade later they didn't commit the crime.

Black Americans are killed at a much higher rate than White Americans
Although half of the people shot and killed by police are White, Black Americans are shot at a disproportionate rate. They account for less than 13 percent of the U.S. population, but are killed by police at more than twice the rate of White Americans. Hispanic Americans are also killed by police at a disproportionate rate.
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/investigations/police-shootings-database/

Mapping Police Violence collected data on over 1,100 killings by police in 2017. Compiling information from media reports, obituaries, public records, and databases like Fatal Encounters and the WashingtonPost, this report represents the most comprehensive accounting of deadly police violence in 2017. Our analysis suggests the majority of killings by police in 2017 could have been prevented and that specific policies and practices might prevent police killings in the future.

1,147 people were killed by police in 2017.

I read this, but that’s just population stats. Are there stats based on chances to be killed per encounter with police? That would be a more meaningful statistic (sorry just my math brain at work from teaching stats)

Well you know then without real information there are no real statistics, ha. Encounters are not reported to any collecting agency.

even the violent encounters may not be reported

    POLICE MANDATORY REPORTING
Update (10/13/16):DOJ just released a plan to gather nationwide data on non-lethal police use of force. But it is up to police departments to volunteer this data.

Law enforcement agencies have been unwilling to produce data in the past. Without a mandate, it’s unlikely they will produce this data now

He sounds like a refugee from the middle east trying to immigrate to Greece.

And, if we don't think a lack of information isn't intentional:

The N.R.A. pushed Congress in 1995 to stop the C.D.C. from spending taxpayer money on research that advocated gun control. Congress then passed the Dickey Amendment in 1996, and cut funding that effectively ended the C.D.C.'s study of gun violence as a public health issue.Mar 12, 2018

    My left Americans...

this is what most centrists/moderates/independents/libertarians believe. It is entirely possible to believe both:

    1) this is a despicable human being unworthy of a protest

    and

    2) he should not have been shot in the back 7 times by police

I am sorry this is too difficult and nuanced a position for you to take.

It is not difficult. I am of the left and I posted in response to your point pages ago. I said the unjust shooting is worthy of protests on its own. I think my right Americans want to pretend all protests are claiming that the dude is some sort of angel. No, just please don't shoot any Americans in the back 7 times for not following a command. Not five or six times either, while we're at it. Let's all try to improve the system to where this kind of thing doesn't happen.

    Cheers.

Nothing you’re putting forward is nuanced. The quote from the female victim is likely true because of how unique it is. Doesn’t matter though

his death and the sexual allegations are two separate matters. By posting about the sexual allegations, you’re enabling white supremacists to justify the shooting for the wrong reasons.

Police knew about his record. If you look at the response of these people, it's pretty easy to judge someone from their rap sheet

Frankly I'm surprised Blake resisted arrest after saying he had a weapon in him.
