U bet ya!I was born there! But still think Bordeaux is better.
Another advice for u or any other expat living in Paris,u should try to find an US sports Bar(maybe near le Marais).
With the diversity of foreigners in Paris I would be surprised if there weren't any kind of bar like that...

My question still hasn't been answered:
Is there any other Frenchmen on the BBS?!

I'm a converted fan from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I used to live in wisconsin, and i'm a big Bull's and Jordan's fan. After yao ming's selection to the rocket, i've become a rocket fan since.

I'm a brother from Washington DC, and have never been outside the US, but I hope some day I can go to Japan because my grandfather is half-Japanese.

I live in Virginia pretty close to DC. I think that qualifies as OCONUS as the people here are uncivilized.

I am from a town calles Stjørdal in Norway:)
There aren't so many basketballfans in Norway (norway is one of the poorest basketball nations in the world). But I am absolutely obsessed about basketball and my favourite team the Houston Rockets. I visit clutchcity.net at least 5 times every day... Huge Houston fan!

Thanos, can you give me some advice - I am going to Brazil in about 2 months and I only have 12 days - I want to spend about 3 days in Rio, 2 days in Iguazu and the rest near Fortaleza (a little town called Cumbuco) to learn kite surfing - is that a decent plan? I was also thinking about Salvador do Bahia, but I won't have enough time - all I have read about the Fortaleza area is that it is really nice and interesting and wonderful beaches and less "americanized" than Rio, if you know what I mean...is that a bad plan or is it ok? Any other recommendations? Thanks!! :)

    i'm from the philippines

There's only one sport we love which is basketball.

In the PBA, we usually have 1 or 2 american players

We don't know baseball, football, but love boxing and billiards.

Oh yeah, we're probably the only Asian country who don't care for soccer.

And filipino fans hate the Rockets' uniforms with a passion.

Just a Jazz-hater trying to survive in Salt Lake. Grew up a Rockets fan in Spring Texas, now getting booted out of sports bars in SLC for cheering on the Rockets.

that's true. we call them "IMPORTS". we also have the "Best Import Of The Year Award". actually, two rockets players had already played in the PBA, one is Roderick Rhodes and the other one was Juaquin Hawkins. if my memory serves me right, when Roderick Rhodes played in the PBA, he was kicked out of the team coz he was so lame. and i think Juaquin Hawkins played for the winningest and championship team, San Miguel Beermen.

    very true!

Hey Couch, Manila has been very very fun the past coupla months. New establishments opening left and right. Business must be booming.

And about our countrymen hating the Rockets (not just the unis), it is so true. This place is no different from any part of the world that doesn't have its own NBA team. Coattail-riders.

When the Bulls were running roughshod over the league in the 90s, everybody here was rooting for them. These same people cheered for the Lakers when they started making a run of their own string of titles. All I heard was MJ, Shaq, Pippen, Kobe, Phil Jackson...

    Casual fans. Argh.

PS: Wow, four Filipinos on the ClutchCity BBS. More than I expected. Any others?

PPS: Keep_Rudy, aside from the (at least) one NBA game we have during the season, we have one or two NBA Greatest Games each day as well, even during the offseason. Last week I just saw Hakeem school Shaq again, Game 1 of their Finals series (with the infamous four missed FTs by Nick Anderson)!

PPPS: Weird. Some 60-something posts on this thread and only two from China. Didn't expect that.
