Future is bright with many stars, young talent and high picks! Hate all you want but those guys have made very smart moves. They did it without really tanking for a high pick except for Deron.
I did a search for Delonte's latest penetration victim and among Google's autofill suggestions was "Gordon Hayward shirtless". Those Mormon girls must be happy.
The Wolves handing them Al Jefferson for free last season is really paying off right now. Earlier this season, a lot of Jazz fans despised the guy. Now they would be nowhere without him.
Can't be mad at this Jazz team, they are not floppers, Sloan is gone and I like Millsap, Kanter & Favors. Would love to switch our frontcourt for that Hopefully we can ship Lowry there, he can bring the flopping back Maybe throw Scola in as a bonus.
Ehh at best they are headed to the land of the good but great. I don't see a single superstar on that roster. Obviously Favors, Kantor and GH are good young players, but I don't know that any will be long term better than "good" I do agree they did it the right way though, bottoming out and acquiring a young, high lotto pick like Favors and then sucking so bad that they could get another high level pick.... Although I think they probably could have used one more high lotto pick.
Yeah, I don't see this team really competing for anything more than 6th - 7th seed for the playoffs unless something shocking happens. Like if you compare them to Memphis, they are a decent distance behind.
Improved frontcourt play from Millsap, Jeff, Favors, and Kanter. Harris is playing back near the level he played at in NJ. Hayward has improved his all-around game as well. Watch out for these guys. They will be a tough out or even possibly upset...but I still hate the j*zz.
There's no good option, but I'm hoping the Warriors do end up in the top 7 and pass on giving their pick to Utah (that obligation then becomes a top-6 protected 2013 pick next year). Hoping the Rockets pick ahead of the Jazz as well. Utah was brilliant to trade Deron before he created the Carmelo circus in Salt Lake, which would have been inevitable. They got a haul from New Jersey also: Devin Harris and two #3 picks (Favors and Kanter), and despite the fact they had some size, I think they were wise to draft big (though they might have been smarter to take Valanciunas... we'll see). Don't see championship upside there, but Utah is handicapped by not being a desirable free agent location. They've made smart moves.
Can you believe the Warriors came back from 21 down to win in Minny last night? What were they thinking? Now it's likely they will give up their mid-lottery pick to the Jazz. If the Warriors had been smart and just lost their last 3 games, it's guaranteed they would have finished 7th worst and kept the pick. Grrrr! Turns out KOC is a good GM and the Jazz are well-positioned to improved. Oh well.
I find myself despising this team less now that Sloan and the other Jazzholes arent there anymore. Still i hope they never win a title.
Still a shame they dumped Sloan for no reason. I cant see Milsap, Jefferson and Favors all on the same team for much longer either. Wouldn't be surprised if they dealt Milsap.
