Kimbrel can still strike people out, but he has a lot of traffic on bases (WHIP over 2). He’s been more lucky than good so far.
Through 6 innings - 5 runs on 9 hits and batting .400 with RISP is not bad at all even leaving the bases loaded.
I think they were talking about the 16 hits and 2 runs over the past two games.
It’s not like the bench options are great right now, but with the top of the lineup coming up and a man on second, I don’t understand letting...
Even a conventional double play scores a run there.
That’s what I meant by if they get some luck (say Hader makes it back and Javier finds consistency) they could make noise in the playoffs. They...
The Astros went 5-2 against Baltimore and Colorado. That would be a 116 win pace for the season. They did what they needed to do and people are...
If the Astros play .500 ball through the rest of the season, KC would have to go better than 19-9 (teams behind them even better) for the Astros...

For an inning he was in that range. By the 3rd, he was sitting at 91. He might be ok in the bullpen for 20-30 pitches and the bullpen has been bad...
He got through 80 pitches with what should have been 1 run despite not having great control or the needed stamina to get through that many...
I predicted he’d struggle through 5, but keep it from spiraling. I assume he’s not heading back out, so was only off by an inning. I don’t think...
Big inning upcoming for Lance.
He’s already gotten 6 swinging strikes, so that’s a big improvement from his last few outings.
He found his control for the last two pitches to Cowser.
MLB gamecast is showing two of the “balls” were strikes.
