4 innings and already 1-6 with RISP. I see things have changed.
They’ve had significantly fewer total bases and hits than Milwaukee the last two games but won. Things could just as easily come apart for them...
I mean they have Correa on the team now and it seems Parades will avoid surgery.
Astros hit the ball hard all night right at guys and the Jays win with two infield hits in the 10th.
Abreu seems to lose his ability to focus in the closer role. You can’t ignore the 3 runs on 11 hits though from this offense either.
I agree on not taking out Blubaugh, but no need to crap on De Los Santos. He’s pitched really well as an Astro.
Small sample size and an unsustainable .473 bapip. Over a larger sample size, he’s batting 100 points lower.
If the Astros traded Framber who would have covered the 176 innings he’s pitched. He’s a head case, but he’s still had the most innings pitched,...
Reasons for optimism, Yordan is on fire right now and Meyers will be back soon. The bullpen pickups have been getting decent outcomes....
Fangraphs has 2023 Maldonado as one of the 10-20 worst position players with any meaningful playing time. Baseball reference is more favorable...
Astros 1-11 with RISP. Ugh.
On MLB it may just be touching the line. It’s hard to tell. I don’t know how the ump was calling that through the game, but it was close enough...
Seemed like Abreu was pitching scared once he got two strikes. The last pitch to Chisholm was nice. 4 games up with 22 to go.
2 strikes twice and then couldn’t put either away.
Or Yordan could stand there and let the Yankees put it out of reach.
Yordan could put this out of reach.
He hit that 100 mph, just right at the third baseman. A foot away would have been a hit.
Seems like they are though. I’m almost more worried about the Rangers at this point (even though I don’t think it’s sustainable with their injuries).
Tampa jumping out to an early 5 run lead against the Mariners.
If he is able to eat up innings with good results, I’m happy. I hope he’s not on the post season roster (and we have better options available).
