It depends on your definition of playmaker.
Rafer is an underrated PG IMO, he was very restricted by JVG last year.
Alston is gonna be the PG playmaker. There are no other playmakers other then Yao and McGrady. Alston should flourish next season if he starts.

I'd go for Hilton Armstrong or Cedric Simmons. It works if you Trade Head and Lucas for either one of them.
rafer was very restricted last season. JVG basically restricted him to be an actuallly PG. All Alston's Job was to be the primary ball-handler.
