Why shut down hobby?
Public stadiums are funded by taxpayers, teams keep profits, and taxpayers are responsible for any damage. So it's even worse.
I'm thinking the company would keep most or all of the profits though. And not sure if they would pay for maintenance either.
A japanese company offered to build texas high speed rail without 1 penny of public funding.
Highways don't make sense either, but they are still subsidized.
Southwest just wants to get a foot in. Once international service starts they will expand service and crush United's latin america business....
The irony is Southwest lobbied the state about preventing passenger rail years back. Circle of life.
