You missed the point. I was answering to a poster who said FIBA should follow the NBA and adopt their rules. I NEVER said FIBA invented the rules...
FIBA = 1932 NBA = 1946 ------------------------ FIBA = 213 national federations (includding USA basketball). NBA = USA and Canada.

They played with hybrid rules. Which is the best thing to do, in order to have competitive games. They should have done the same in the USA.
