In no way am I saying that Melo is the answer on defense. I am saying he's more offense we needed. you can coach lesser players in defensive players.

I think they only wanted to pay him the minimum... which would be fair based on his injury and the fact that he didn't get surgery on it...
Luc and Ariza had their chance to get themselves paid... By showing up when it counts. You can find guys that can play defense.
If you really wanna pay all the guys you should go cheer for the teams they signed with...
