what's so silly about this? there is a huge drop off when he comes in. if you expect lin to produce off the bench, you have to have good bench...
lin didnt have much to work with. having brewer out there makes the game 4v5 offensively. beverley is more consistent overall. less turnovers....

he was doing fine earlier in the season. he's a young guy and has potential. id rather get back a back up center and a productive wing player.

bev starts and gets 20~ minutes. lin comes in and plays 30~ minutes. it's pretty clear to me. the PG doesn't need to be an allstar on this...
lin can start for teams. it's just a fit issue for the rockets.

he's enough for an impact player which is all that is required. an all star would be nice, but a high value role player is good too.

there is no reason for bev to get the ball. if it's lin+ bev, it should be in lin's hands.
i agree about playing time. bev would get more minutes when harden sits and its bev+ lin. probably about 20 minutes. SG... positions are outdated.

im not saying lin and harden can't work together. they can work together well. i think it would add more because i think it would give lin more...
are you an organization insider? there is no way to know who's idea it is and who influences how it all goes down. there could be disagreements...
