As long as Crane is willing to raise the payroll to keep the machine churning, 3-5M extra per year isn’t a back breaker if you think he’s the man.
I would also like it if he would consider re-signing, but I think that opportunity was flushed by the way we used him.
With Dusty back I see no reason to believe he would be closer to a true platoon.

Contreras is a terrible defensive catcher. I’d be all for upgrading Maldy via trade, but I don’t think Dusty would play him.
And one I think Crane would consider reasonable.
