McHale could have easily given James some rest. Lin has 20 minutes and it's almost the end of the game.
Lin should have stayed on the floor over Canaan while the rest of the starters sat. Could have made the difference.

What I found dumb was he got pulled early in the 3rd due to foul trouble, but then he didn't play the 4th anyway so why didn't McHale put him back...
