Yeah, I'd like to see him get 40 minutes a night, and not practice at all except to shoot free throws and jumpers and walk through with the offense.
precisely, it's not how you start that matters, it's how you finish. The rockets should know this better than anybody.
Adelman is a Genius for cutting Yao's practice time and let him play 40+ a night. Yao is really earning his paycheck now.
Your premises are correct, but you came to a false conclusion. The fact is, Yao isn't tired at the end of games any more, and that is most likely...
I think the Yao-protectionist voices on this board are getting ridiculous.
That's why he's the coach making millions, and the rest coach-wannabes just shoot s**t on BBS. If the fans voices were listened to by the...
those were very timid 15 point leads. with rockets size on the court and style of play, those 15 points can disappear in less than 2 minutes....
There's also never been a center who's allowed not to practice hard or at all.
I concur. These are pretty bad teams, with the possible exception of the Mavs, that we just played, and we looked awful at times.
very good point. I think it has a lot too do with the energy Artest and Brooks brings at the end of games, as well as Yao's surprising freshness...
Good wins. but cautious optimism. We haven't played the elite teams in the league, i.e. the lakers, hornets, spurs, celtics, pistons, etc...
wear him out? He doesn't look nearly as tired playing 40/game this season as he has playing 30/game the past years.
If he doesn't practice much any more, and he can't play 40 minutes, then he's a waste of money.
I'll repeat, How else is Yao going to stay in shape? if he's not in shape to play in games, then it's as good as a fracture in the leg.
well, what's the point of resting him if he's not even in shape to play in games? He doesn't practice or train much any more, according to...
I meant he was running around on the offensive end.
You are obviously watching a different game. Yao was not even bending over and puffing like he used to do. And he wasn't running around on the...
It may be necessary, because Yao doesn't practice much any more, he needs the floor time to stay in shape.
so what he's playing 40 minutes a game? he doesn't look tired at all. He has been more energetic at the end of games.
because 1, he's not tired; 2, rockets lack size on defense right now with this lineup.
