I don't think you need to worry. If Morey thought signing Ariza would prevent the signing of a max player in 2010, he would not have done the deal.
Ariza's not going to replace McGrady nor is he meant to. At best, he'll be a solid role player who'll hopefully fill in okay while Morey searches...
Iverson should go to Europe. I'm sure some team will let him take a ton of shots and be the main attraction.
If the main point is to encourage people to come to games, I think the potential hope and expectation surrounding McGrady's midseason comeback is...
I think his ankle problems last season made him look less mobile than he actually is; I still remember how Ronny Brewer absolutely took him apart...
What I'm really impressed with is his leaving $9 miilion on the table and choosing to go to a team he really wants to play for. I honestly wasn't...
Z would be an acceptable one-year rental for the Rockets, but I can see no reason for the Cavs to let him go. He's a valuable expiring contract...
IMO Wafer works better on a veteran team, where he can provide a change-of-pace burst off the bench but his erratic side can be tempered by more...
^^^^^ Man, when will Asian cartoonists get with the program and stop drawing black people that way? It is the 21st century, after all... The...
I agree they're tougher, but I'll give a very slight edge to the Spurs if (BIG if) they are healthy. Artest and the Lakers will make it work.
Personally, I'm not high on Ariza. I just see a lot of limitation in his game, but hopefully I'll be proven wrong. As another poster suggested,...
That's a good question. Adelman signed on to coach a contender and may not want to be part of a long rebuilding process. My guess is that he'll...
Man, I have no idea what's going to happen. Going after Rubio was smart of Morey, but it's looking more and more like that trade's not happening....
So, I guess the Rockets will be in the thick of things in the 2010 FA market. Interesting, though this season's going to be painful to watch.
I think it's safe to say Morey is going after younger players. He'll stay away from Hamilton and his contract.
It's more likely that Ariza figures things out with the Lakers, IMO.
If all that the Rockets offered was a one-year contract, as Berman reported, then I don't blame Artest for saying goodbye. It's time to go...
I agree. And if Wafer rejected it, it most likely means he's got an equal or better deal already in place. So good for him.
Being competitive each year is great, but it's more important for me to feel that each season is building momentum towards the ultimate goal of...
I hope you're right. If Brooks and Battier isn't getting it done, I wonder how much more Morey will sweeten the pot for Minny..
