Just Morey threatening the possibility of max cap space will be huge for our prospects if LMA chooses us. He could bluff Portland into doing a sign and trade if LMA and agent convince Portland it is Houston with or without a sign and trade.
I have this link as a shortcut on my chrome and it shows me the latest posts by Cyberx. bbs.clutchfans.net/search.php?do=finduser&u=17959
The Rockets plan on sharing it with LA, or is there already a deal in place contingent on LMA interest in HOU? Also, Lakers or Clippers?
I don't see why any of that matters. LMA has to choose Houston. If he does Morey can get him here. Sign and trade or dumping contracts, it will be easy. The hard part is getting LMA to pick Houston. The rest is just logistics and Morey works for UPS.
I believe cyrberx has shortened Aldridge's name to "LA" before, if I'm not mistaken, but maybe he can clarify...
The plan is easy. Dumping Ariza if LMA says yes to Morey would not be hard at all. I mean it would be hard for me to agree to do it, but not actually hard to pull off.
What cyber is saying is that s+t is off the table. Lma is signing 1+1 and whoever gets him must have max capspace. La and houston have a plan to do it. Which means that la is planning to add another big free agent. (Cousins? ) Thats how i interpreted his posts.
Think you might have read too much into the post. I think he was saying they will share it with Lamarcus Aldridge, as in, tell him that they can get to max room so don't rule them out over that. Not share the same plan as the Lakers, that doesn't make any sense.
Rockets didn't have cap space last year either. The Lin trade wasn't agreed to until Bosh's agent indicated he would be signing with Houston. The Asik trade wasn't done until the Rockets agreed to terms with Ariza.
I agree with that, but it baffles me that credible national reporters like Stein continue to parrot this "HOU wants in the game, but has to clear space!" line. The story is whether Aldridge wants the Rockets or not. This "he might but only if the space is cleared beforehand" seems contrived and ridiculous, to me.
