LMA has to choose Houston. If he does Morey can get him here.

Sign and trade or dumping contracts, it will be easy. The hard part is getting LMA to pick Houston. The rest is just logistics and Morey works for UPS.

 

They have the same plan. Meaning they will trade for the same unguranteed contracts.

The plan is easy. Dumping Ariza if LMA says yes to Morey would not be hard at all.

Think you might have read too much into the post.

I think he was saying they will share it with Lamarcus Aldridge, as in, tell him that they can get to max room so don't rule them out over that. Not share the same plan as the Lakers, that doesn't make any sense.

 

Rockets didn't have cap space last year either. The Lin trade wasn't agreed to until Bosh's agent indicated he would be signing with Houston. The Asik trade wasn't done until the Rockets agreed to terms with Ariza.

 

I don't get why LMA won't chose Houston a preferred destination. We just went to the WCF.

 

I agree with that, but it baffles me that credible national reporters like Stein continue to parrot this "HOU wants in the game, but has to clear space!" line. The story is whether Aldridge wants the Rockets or not. This "he might but only if the space is cleared beforehand" seems contrived and ridiculous, to me.
