Should we bring in Bosh?

How would you guys feel about bringing in Bosh? I understand that he has exited his prime but he could be a very good role player in offense. He fits our system perfectly and could help space the floor. Bosh has never been able to play with a dominant big man in the middle and I think him and Dwight would make a great tandem. He could also help with providing the leadership we need with the young forwards Jones and DMo. He hits the 3 at a consistent clip (40% off 74 shots) and was also still pretty consistent from midrange.

    Side note:

Is there a possiblity we could sign Bosh and then sign/trade Lin, Parsons, Asik to NY for Melo? Just curious.

I think it's funny that Bosh started shooting the 3 because Battier told him to take 2 steps back, lol, which means he probably fits here

No, and probably Bosh,Lebron and Wade will opt in, so welcome Melo.

Already being discussed in multiple threads, but yes... if other opportunities fall through, I think he's a perfect player to plug right in and multiple needs-

    -Upgrades the PF position
    -Upgrades defense
    -Upgrades stretch 4
-Gives someone to play the 5 when Howard is on the bench
    -Veteran leader

Also- with the scenario the Heat have going into this Summer, I see Bosh as the piece to get moved or move himself. I think going into talks with Pat Riley & co. they tell him that if he doesn't opt out and sign elsewhere (where he is due a good pay day) he's most likely going to get traded to allow them the pieces to refresh around Lebron & Wade.

The Rockets will get whoever is available to get first. I think Kevin Love will be the first target given the fact that he's got the ability to be deal the first on draft night. That's a low likely possibility, but after that you are looking at Lebron than Melo than Dirk(even lower likelihood) than probably Bosh.

So there are bigger fish to fry at the moment, but dont lose sight of Bosh as an option if other options fail.

My apologies, its difficult to read every thread in this forum. But looking at it from a needs standpoint (3&D wing, upgrade PF, better PG play, Legit playmaker off the bench) Bosh could be the easiest spot to fill if he becomes a free agent. 3&D can be addressed in draft as most rookies come in to the league focusing on that. I'm not sure which PG's are available (maybe Patty Mills or just role with Cannon behind Bev).

I'm guessing Love is out, so it's Melo, then Rondo, maybe Lowry. Otherwise, we hold onto our assets and wait for the right deal. Not what I would do, but Morey has more discipline than I do.

if we can go into next season with a true starting pg, a 3/d swingman, and a backup center, then yeah im all for the 20-22mil role player chris bosh.

Yes, because it would be an awful deal that would make the team worse.

I'd be ok with Bosh, but no where near the max. He plays like an average PF most of the time now.

I made the thread asking the same question a couple of night ago hahaha

But to reiterate. Past adding LeBron or Love, I think Bosh is the best option for us.

LeBron is the obvious 1st choice. We should do all that we can to bring him here. And while Love is a better player, I don't see Houston having enough assets to swing a trade this offseason. The real question is going to be Melo or Bosh.

Bosh is the best fit for this team as he makes more sense for our line up and can also play back up center because Omer is going to be gone if we land any top free agent this offseason. Bosh has a nice jumpshot and can shoot the 3, which goes perfectly with out offense. Most importantly, I think Bosh is one of those teammates that will talk to others if they aren't playing right and brings some championship pedigree to a young and inexperienced team.

The thing is, if we have any shot at Bosh then we have a shot at Lebron so we should choose him instead.

Bosh isn't leaving Miami unless Lebron leaves. If Lebron opts in or re-signs in Miami, then Bosh will do the same.

I'd go for Bosh if Plans A+B fall apart...but I agree he isn't leaving unless LeBron does. Also dont think he'd be worth a max contract either nor would he likely take anything less...unless it's Miami.
