Trade two top 10 players for the best player in the world that will leave after the season because Wade is finished.

    Smart idea.

It's tough. If I'm operating in win-now mode, then the answer is yes.

Doesn't matter if it's win-now or win-later, I'd go with LeBron. Wade is on the downside of his career for sure. But with LeBron on the team, it's very easy for attract second bananas. Coz he's THAT good.

Wow I can't believe this is close. Asik is the 5th best center in the league. We still have Parsons and Lin and Bev, Garcia, Casspi. . Lebron can play the 4. We are better than the current heat team.

Miami would have Harden, Howard AND Bosh!

Lebron would have the Cavaliers again.

He'd have the Cavaliers with better role players, cap room and Daryl Morey, as well as his own now far more burnished reputation/track record to recruit players.

After the Dwight rally this summer, I asked a radio personality if he thought Morey would trade Harden + anyone else on the roster to pair up Dwight and Lebron, and he said no. He didn't think Morey would gut the team just to pair Lebron and Dwight.

In my personal opinion, if Lebron opts out and shows the slightest interest in coming here, I think Morey would do it without hesitation. He's shown he can find quality complimentary players, he just always had trouble getting a superstar to come here. I love Harden as a Rocket, but we're talking about Lebron here. Don't know if Miami can execute a sign and trade (I know it's not an old CBA S&T, it's a 4 year, less than absolute max S&T) or what they would demand in return, but if you could somehow keep Dwight, you would have to do it.

Some might think it's too much to offer, but I would definitely go:
Harden+Omer+Parsons+a 1st round pick+the NYK 2nd round pick for Lebron.

As others have said, keeping the other players as well (Asik, Lin, Parsons, Bev), its a no-brainer.... Yes.

Although if you just took two players on every team to win a 2 on 2 battle, I think the Rockets big 2 would be able to beat almost every other tandem in the league. I dont think there is any other "Big 2" in the league that has the potential to complement each other better than Dwight/Harden.

Lebron, Wade, Asik or Howard, Asik, Harden

Hard to say, those would both be great lineups.

    Lebron yes, Wade no.

Why you want to trade a healthy Harden for a injury prone Wade?

So, in essence IF we were to face the Heat in the finals with our current roster (Harden,Howard,Asik,Parsons,Lin,Bev,etc) we would lose? This is the reason you want to swap Harden/Howard for LeBron/Wade right?

Well I don't know the future, but I'm all in with our team, including (Harden/Howard), and apparently JVG agrees with me....

Lebron and a first rounder, I'd take that. But Wade isn't really Wade so I wouldn't touch a trade that had him attached.

This would be year-for-year, right? Because all of those guys are on different contracts...

Regardless I'll join the echo chamber and say that yes, you trade for LeBron James. The truth is that the only player who was comparable to LeBron in the past decade is Dwight Howard. And out of the two, LeBron has consistently performed at a higher level without the debilitating injury history.

That being said, losing James Harden for Dwayne Wade is going to be rough... You're going to have to hope that Wade can keep it together until you can find a suitable replacement either via trade or FA.

But really, this question boils down to which two players do you think can win the next championship (and perhaps the one after that)? When phrased that way, it's hard to say no to any combination that includes LeBron James.

I'm surprised that so many would say yes. I'm not sold on Wade's health, so to me the answer is obviously no. Lebron's great but he needs at least one bonafide star alongside him. Asik and a 50% aging Wade? Not really, especially since the Rockets will have no capspace going forward.

I'd take my chances with Howard/Harden, whatever we can get for Asik, and potentially getting Love/Aldridge in 2015.
