Mobb Deep is super grimy. Hell on Earth is one of the darkest, hardest CDs. All of there 90s stuff is great. Big L is hard in a different way the Mobb, kinda more punchline over the top nuts, whereas Mobb is like subtle hardness. Jokes aside, Mobb, L, Nas, DMX, Wu, early 50 cent mixtape stuff pre-blow up (how to rob was a classic), and even beanie sigel had some dope joints for a hardcore east coast grime feel. Newer stuff has changed the definition of hardcore east coast.
