BoA, Wells Fargo, Bank of Texas. No complaints on any of them as I avoid all of their fees (you mostly need a minimum deposit per month ~$250). I am thinking about closing my BoT and switching to USAA though becuase BoT has zero ATMs where I am at.
Johnson Space Center Federal Credit Union, Bank of America, and my employer's credit union. I keep my savings with JSCFCU and use the other two for checking because of the various deals they offer.
I'm with Citibank. OP, send me your routing number, mother's maiden name, and SS# and I'll get you set up with a free checking account
I use Chase. I keep my account over a certain limit so it is completely free of charges. -.- SEEMS LEGIT.
I'm been with Bank of America for 15 years because they bought NationsBank, who was the nearest bank to my apartment after I got my first job. I'm not a fan at all, but I've been transferred several times, and it's good to know they'll have a large ATM presence pretty much no matter where I live.
I bank with BoA and First Community Credit Union. The advantage of BoA is they have ATM's on just about every corner, so you can find an ATM close by. The downside is they will nickel and dime you to death if you let them. If you plan on keeping a decent amount in your account, then you can stay away from their fees. No problems with the credit union. Easy to get loans from so thats why I keep an account open with them.
I use ING Direct, which I really like, if you'd look at an internet bank. They were just bought by CapitalOne and are called something like Capital360. So far, CapitalOne hasn't screwed them up, but we'll see.
General Credit Union question: any online banking, bill pay or stock trading features with their accounts?
Ally Bank primarily. There was a thread all about it a while back I think. I can pull it up later if anyone is interested. An online bank, so some downsides compared to other traditional banks, but I love it. No fees, high(er) interest rates on checking/savings acounts, and I can go to any ATM (no worries about ATM presence).
