Free throws made and attempted. He has attempted 30 more free throws than no. 2 on the list, Howard. He has attempted 147 more free throws than Lebron, but Lebron hasn't gotten to the line very much this year. Among top scorers he is is tops at Free Throw Attempts / Field Goal Attempts at .56. For comparison KD who is 2nd among top 10 scorers is at .48. Lebron is only .34. I guess Harden is now truly a superstar in one aspect in that he gets superstar calls.
He attacks the basket and knows how to finish. Once upon a time, Kevin Martin was high on this list until the league caught on to his antics. Hardin doesn't have any antics - you either have to foul him or more often than not he is going to finish around the rim.
I am not sure I would call them superstar calls... He just knows how to get calls. His euro step usually means getting other players out of position. And before he is shooting he is extending his arms into the arms of the defender - he is the one creating the contact as soon as he sees an opening. He is always trying to get fouls, sometimes even more than actually making the shot. So I'd say he leads the league in trying to get fouled...
lol... me too  But I think he's 2nd in TOs now. Edit: I just checked. Harden is FIRST in total TOs.
Lin is not far behind. But the crown still goes to Harden. Rockets used to have only one high TO guy in Yao. Now it seems everybody is a TO machine.
Harden has 146 in 39 games. He's ranked #1 in total turnovers. Lin has 121 in 40 games. Suck it, hater.
I guess since they began to clam down on flopping, a lot of the usual suspects getting to the line have tapered off. Harden used to be quite a flopper too. Somehow he has adapted quite well.
hahaha maybe just maybe its cos Harden runs pg for this team. I am sure if Lin was the predominant pg, his to would be close astronomical numbers. And im not a loh, just an observer But just cos someone is not all 7th heaven googly eyed about Lin, that doesnt make them a hater
Not surprised since he's always trying to create contact. Though it does look really ugly when the refs aren't calling it.
I love how he attacks the basket. I'm still trying to get used to the Eurostep. I swear it looks just like traveling. LoL.
Lin has a very similar turnover rate per36 to Harden. Harden also averages more assists than any non point guard in the NBA other than James.
Lin plays less minutes than Harden.... Holiday is averaging almost 5 a game, he just has played less games....
Yup and his assist numbers and points would probably go up too if he were the primary pg. the rox system have many playmakers. Harden needs to address the TO issue IMO, same with Lin.
And of course thread gets derailed because somebody mentions Lin in a negative way. Now it's going to be nonsense argument from both sides arguing about the what ifs.
he doesn't get superstar calls he just drives to the paints 90 percent of the time because he has no midrange game
Am I the only one here who worries that Harden could get injured by driving and taking a hard hit too much? Same goes for Lin.
