If anyone knows a place in the Beaumont area that shows the games, please post it on here. I haven't found one yet
Check this thread (or my signature) for locations to watch games: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=227268 Nobody so far has posted about a location anywhere near Beaumont yet.
I spoke with a representative with Suddenlink today. I was actually calling for technical support, but after he made a comment about how Suddenlink in College Station has an extensive channel lineup (I guess he's comparing to Suddenlink in other markets), I made a comment about how I wish they would get something done with CSN Houston. He said that he hears the same thing at least ten times a day. And that's just this one representative. I would imagine that others get the same thing. So there seems to be plenty of folks making noise about it, but it remains to be seen if that matters all that much.
I live in the Washington area - to sum up 7 pages of posts related to this... In the Washington area...Your options are: Canyon Creek Jax's Grill I have called 360 sports bar, bw3s, and kung fu bar. None have comcast. I have been going to Canyon Creek, but want to find a better place in the area. Its like $6 a beer. I went there ate food and spent like 30$ watching the game by myself lol. There is a lot of people that show up for the game though at Canyon Creek...
Over in Lakerland, Time Warner sports or whatever they're Calling their channel struck a deal with Cox. Maybe there is hope down here somewhere. Shows progress was made over there.
It'd be great if we could somehow know the details of the negotiations. This is pretty much all bull**** at this point.
There are no details. Chron just posted this about an hour ago: http://blog.chron.com/sportsmedia/2...e-asks-for-fans-support-in-carriage-standoff/
KHOU just published an article regarding this as well http://www.khou.com/home/Rockets-fans-scramble-to-find-game-on-television-177125871.html Need all the news outlets to put this in the news.
So Comcast put an article out on Houston Chronicle to use fans as leverage. This is just getting ridiculous.
Does anyone have any idea how much is an ad on the Houston Chronicle to voice our opinion about it? (FANS) No one reads the paper, anyway... why do that when we can see all the news online?
Found this interview with the communications manager at Comcast Sportsnet. It was posted this morning. http://climbingtalshill.com/2012/11/05/interview-with-comcast-sportsnet-houstons-rich-bocchini/
That's a bunch of BS. And personally I don't give a damn what any of those CSN punks say. I just want my rockets games.
Has anyone tried using a proxy IP address with NBA league pass broadband want to know if this might work. I'm sick of these BS streams.
You can watch through league pass broadband with a proxy or some other tricks. Problem is the free trial ends tomorrow night. So you'd have to buy broadband to keep doing it.
By the way, if the quote in that interview is accurate, 15,000 people asking for the channel isn't a lot. Not a lot of demand
Whenever I'm bored I go on CSN's facebook and read all the negativity they get and it makes me happy. I also report their page for spam as well every now and then.
So after I got my $120 in discounts, I went ahead and just ordered league pass (not bad for $60 bucks when you consider the discount). For Rockets games, I am just going to watch through the broadband portion via vpn.
