James Worthy did win the 1988 NBA Finals MVP. Magic is Magic and he did make everyone better around him, but Worthy had an outstanding series. So I take it Wade will call 2 hookers up when he'll be in town to face us.
Well, Wade's performance in 2006 was probably the best in NBA Finals history. However, Worthy was incredible in '88 and a noted playoff performer.
what needs to happen for the heat to be more consistent is this: 1) lebron becomes a scorer. this team is at its best when lebron is aggressive. he'll do a little bit of everything else. and he's so good that he'll chip in everywhere regardless. 2) wade needs to become a playmaker. right now, his job is to score and that all he's thinking. so when he drives in recklessly and has no other options, he throws up some weird shots or turn it over. wade needs to become playmaker, defender, and just do the little things. 3) bosh is slowly molding his role and he's doing it well the past few games. his problem (not sure if it's his b/c he's really not a banging big man) is that he doesn't box out very well and thus gives up a lto of offensive rebounds. hopefully signing dampier will solve that. but he's finally figuring out his role. their inconsistency is so mind-boggling right now. i wouldn't be surprised if they blow the magic out on wednesday.
There is no way LeBron becomes a scorer and Wade a playmaker. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Why? Because Wade is USED to scoring 30 a game and LeBron is MUCH, MUCH better playmaker.
This team needs points from C&S and post up, but LeBron doesn't have those skills. You can't have 2 guys driving from top of the key when there's only 1 basketball. Simple as that.
I'm enjoying the Heat losing and coming a flaming wreck. So far it's the only thing I am enjoying this season. Rockets suck and are boring to watch.. Watching the Heat lose on the other hand is great fun..
It's still very early, and every team will be playing a lot different after the All Star Break. Look at the Celtic's last year, had injury issues, barely made the playoffs, and then just clicked into another gear in playoffs. Both teams are made for the Finals, and whoever doubts Miami will not get past the 1st round, really needs to get some help. I would hate to the team to face Miami in a 7 games series, in the first round.
Anybody watching Heat at Magic? 18 - Heat 26 - Magic End of 1st. This game could get really ugly....Heat have nothing going on tonight so far.
I said last week that Miami would have a difficult time just making the playoffs if they played in the West, and I still believe that. It's funny to think that Clutchfans think the Rockets just need one "superstar" to be a contender, when Miami has three "superstars" and still can't match up with the top teams. People that think that Miami will somehow put it all together late in the season will be disappointed.
Miami is still on course for a 50 win season, and that's good enough for a place in the finals in both East and West.
Too much injuries...just too much injuries. Dampier is gonna help though. Even when healthy, this team is not a clear cut championship team. Chemistry is only one thing...they need more skill and size. period
How hard is it to win 50 games in the Eastern conference? After tonights game they won't be on pace for a 50 win season, and look at the very weak schedule they have played so far. If Miami had to play against the stronger western Conference, they would miss the playoffs. You do realize that teams have to play teams in their own conference more often than teams in the other conference, right? Miami is so lucky to be in the East.
So every team in the East is lucky, so on your view the Celtics are lucky to be in the east as well? You realise they have won only 2 more games then the Heat? You can only play who you are told to play, it's the way it always has worked. Also the West has its fair share of bottom feeder teams as well, to get easy wins from. (Rockets, Kings, Clippers, Wolves etc). So sick of this East is weak stuff...
