    The answer to the question is NO! He isn't a Franchise Player, in fact he isn't on a team!
    Steve Francis was the Franchise Player for the Houston Rockets till Tracy McGrady became the teams Franchise Player!
    Hopefully the mantle is about to be handed to Yao Ming for the first time in his career. :p

    You and I don't know this yet as Yao Ming has never been given the chance
    to be the Franchise player of the Houston Rockets. So if he returns to form let us give him a chance and see what he can do before we condemn his ability. It is well established that you do not like Yao and I do :p
