If he really doesn't care about the money... Rockets TRADE his expiring contract for pieces/assets this season but then in free agency he signs with the Rockets for the vet minimum.
Can the T-Mac HATERS give us a few weeks at least to see what he can do before trashing him on any thing he says or does. If he flops, then trade him.
13-7 lead when McGrady entered 21-25 deficit when McGrady left. McGrady's personal progress for himself might be okay. Good for him. He hurt the team's rhythm. He certainly didnt help it. 1 game he helped, 1 he hurt.
Actually he didn't really help in the first game either. Basically they just ran it down the Pistons throats and Tmac followed behind.
To be fair, I think the rockets still would win the pistons game but still would lose the nuggets game if without Tmac. I don't think he played 7-8 minutes in the first quarter would affect the result.
Agree. His contribution was boosting the home crowd and team's morale with his appearance. The Rockets tried to run the Pistons AND McGrady out the building, running a little bit harder giving McGrady his orientation to the new way. I'll count that as a momentary intangible. On whether he'll resign, or if things are resolved with the team. There's so much spin from player/team/media & so much save-facing going on, like with everything else I'll believe it when I see it.
tmac (when healthy) is a better shot maker than Brooks and Ariza. Brooks can drive surely as mcgrady can but he won't next year with Yao in the paint. Mcgrady supplements not only the team but Yao. This team will have a new offense to it next year a half court one more likely which helps mac Yao and others on the team. Adelman having to change the offense next year is inevitable and wether he wants mcgrady to fit in or not (if he resigns) is out of question as it'll be A half court setting which Yao depends on and mcgrady thrives upon plus go to guys (Yao, mac) draw defenders letting shooters like ________ (insert brooks/ariza/cbud/or battier) have clearer shots. Mcgrady is 1/3 in fg last Sunday Ariza was 0-9
I agree almost. He still has to take us to the promise land for me to retract EVERYTHING. I am ready to party.
The and 1 was either Hayes or Landry when they switched off. Carmelo didn't look great against T-mac, that's for sure. When a guy gives up 2 ft's to one of the top 10 players in the league in a span of 8 minutes, how do you call that poor defense????
I fail to see how he broke up the flow, I saw the Rockets miss a lot of point blank shots - a few wide open jumpers, and you had a couple of travels. T-mac didn't look like his old self, but he certainly can't be blamed for Carl Landry getting blocked twice and for him missing a jumper. So far in both games, my evaluation is that he has been neither net positive nor net negative.
Mcgrady won't even be here for any of this to happen. I strongly believe he probably get traded. The way the players are playing around him he is no longer the focal point. Everyone is touching the ball but him.
