Anyone ever find out what McGrady and Scola were jawing about during that dead ball? It looked like McGrady was giving Scola was of him famous tongue-lashings but Luis isn't having any of that anymore. Even Bill said something along those lines but I don't think anyone really knew what was being said or the tone of the conversation.
I thought he actually looked better in this game. Maybe it just wasn't as evident how much slower he is than his teammates, as the rest of the Rockets weren't running like they did yesterday. It was evident how superior his passing is to any other perimeter player we have. He's able to hold the ball high over his head and just find people all over the court.
I see some flashes of the old T-Mac, a couple of nice passes, beat his man on a drive but got stripped.
I saw "ok" defense against Carmello and some good passes to get the ball to our PF in good spots but they couldnt finish. Not sure about the Scola exchange, dont know what they were talking about.
Tmac's court vision is still there. I think he is still the rockets' best passer. His defense on Melo is not bad. I think he has more focused on defense this season than before. His explosion and speed are not there yet. That might take him about 10-15 games to get there. I am happy to see him back. But, he has a long way to go.
It looked exactly like any other run-of-the-mill discussion between confused teammates. Nothing to discuss about it really.
he needs more time on the court to be effective, but 8 min is enough to atleast get his feet wet like adelman said, but again, if yu guys want to see something out of t-mac he cant be this passive guy who will just go with the flow. Eventually he has to be a go to guy.
Tracy always looks so lackadaisical when the ball's not in his hands, I don't like it. Otherwise he looked okay.
Way to pull that one out of your ass...It seemed to me that T-Mac was clarifying where he needed to be on help defense or where he though Scola should be.
i want to see him drive to right though, but other than that he looked ok. Movement wise he looked good, but again 8 mins is just not gonna cut it if people want to see something out of this guy, especially if people want him to be a team oriented type player.
It just hit me. McGrady at 70% can't help this team. McGrady at 90%, you would have to retool the offense, thus he hurts the team. This might be lose-lose until Yao gets back. Weird situation.
It seemed to go something like this: T-Mac - Hey man, when I come off the pick, hit me once I cu.... Scola - That play isn't in the set anymore T-Mac - I know, but picks still gotta be set and.... Scola - Dude, chill. We run a motion offense now, ok. T-Mac - But if... Scola - Hit the post then flash back out. If the ball comes your way swing it. Motion ok...motion. Dumb ass. No puedo esperar hasta que se negocie (Scola mumbling while walking away)
completely agree, took the words out of my mouth... he will be all right, just hope we dont trade him, it will hurt the team, especially when cbud and trevor are not up to par.
im sorry i dont think any player would be good enough to help any team if they said they were at 70 percent
