Just a fun thought, but the Celtics and Lakers are on top of the league again. Houston is up there, but they are definitely underdogs. Any chance we can surprise the world ala '86? Granted, we don't have a Sampson or Olajuwon, but we do have a team that has been playing awesome ball this season and managed to win 22 straight. When you have chemistry like that, I think we have a solid chance. We just have to stay committed to team play and hustle our butts off in order to win. The West is very similar in means of performance. I think if there was a year for upsets in the west, this is it. I mean there are only 7 games separating the Lakers and the Nuggets. Compare that to the East where there is 29 games difference.
If the Rockets can get past Utah, I like our chances against the Denver/LA winner. If New Orleans can manage to get to the WCF, I'd like our chances there too. Unfortunately, I think it's going to come down between Phoenix and San Antonio.
short answer..............no but hey me made the big dance....lets take one game at a time..... hopefully catch some chemistry again..................and see what happen and if we can somehow finally get out the first round....... first things first.....dont know how u guys see it....but the jazz are one of the most well coached bunch in the playoffs period....and they just plain dont make mistakes.......so its gonna take our A game to get out of this first round........... lets take it easy with the shock the world talk for right now and get outta utah first..... it happens all the time this time of year......we all are so numb from the season that we get punch drunk and go crazy
and if you remember the Jazz beat the Rockets in the first round in 85'. The Rockets also had home court in that round.
hey we had a great season lets make some noise in the playoffs and see what happens from there......... boy sometimes i like to just sit back and watch this bored......lol....its entertainment at its best .....and the threads sometimes....priceless!!!!!
We had a chance when Yao Ming was healthy, then he went down. Granted, we did make the playoffs. (With Homecourt.) But frankly, without a SIGNIFICANT post advantage, we're lose. Scolandry and Mutombo, as good as they are, isn't really a SIGNIFICANT post advantage.
