this is another case of the left-wing taking something out of context to try to attack those they hate.

it's getting tired. The out of control left wing is the new out of control right wing.

To varying degrees they have. Most people in the world have had a lot of respect for the U.S.

To pretend like public opinon hasn't decreased isn't sane.

Or it's the case of President doing a bad job of making an analogy. I accept and understand that he was actually trying to make one. But at the time it didn't seem like it, and it was very clumsily done.

I don't understand how bring up Bush's crazy poorly made analogy is "out of control". It might be a big issue, but it certainly doesn't represent the total loss of control you are claiming.

Can you think of a Middle Eastern equivalent? I can't... I can think of Jewish one. And he did get murdered. I can't think of Persian one. I can't think of an Arab one. Actually... come to think about it... I can't think of a single person alive from that entire region that is an equivalent to Mandela.

Some would say Arafat. But... well he's dead... and he was not even close to a "Mandela". Actually... he was kind of an anti-Mandela type. Kidnapping and extortion... kinda not Mandela worthy.

Anyone who "misinterpreted" the analogy... form an orderly line to collect your sticker... BAAAaaaaaa lil sheep BAaaaAAAaaa

taking someone out of context is a skill you're a master of, so it's no wonder that you see this as perfectly normal. it's useless to discuss anything with you.

I mentioned that I saw the exchange in question and real time. I wasn't taking it out of context.

"Equivalent" was a poor choice of term on my part. I was thinking along the lines of a Mossadeq, Nasser or Ataturk.

All I can say is WOW. For all the "taking out of context" the chickenhawks loooooooooooooooove to do to people like John Kerry, this is absolutely asinine.

Really, is the right that out of touch with their own hypocrisies?

What a whiny little baby. If it's useless to discuss anything with everyone apparently, since you just globally label anyone that disagrees with you a left-wing nutcase, why even bother posting?

You're like the little child that says something and then covers his ears and goes "lalalalala i can't hear you" and ignores all the evidence to the contrary.

Why don't you explain the what the analogy was supposed to mean? That Saddam Hussein killed all the competent leaders in Iraq and that Bush believes there are no capable leaders left in the country?

I thought the US either cluster bombed or fired the remaining leaders of the country?

This is much ado about nothing, other than to make fun of Bush.

exactly...it's reminiscient of newt's "contract with american" right-wing attacks on Clinton - attack him on anything and everything no matter if it's legitimate or not.

the left wingers have got to be careful that they don't go too far in attacking bush or it will just make them look bad as well.

Judging by the intellect expressed in his most recent posts i'd peg his birth date somewhere between 2000-01.

We may have really figured something out here. And he would have been only 3 or 4 when people were taking Kerry's quotes out of context, so it is all starting to make sense!
