Main Entry: 1some·body Listen to the pronunciation of 1somebody Pronunciation: \ˈsəm-(ˌ)bə-dē, -ˌbä-\ Function: pronoun Date: 14th century : one or some person of unspecified or indefinite identity <somebody will come in> Ummmm....... I think from that definition I am somebody, and before you want to pull the race card saying that I dislike chinese people, I would like to first say that I am Chinese and a huge rockets fan. And I am disgusted by some of the response over one game.
Well the thing is a much bigger portion of Turkey resides in Asia, however the capital, Constintanople(sp) is in the Europe portion so its like Russia, even though a vast portion of the country is in Asia, its considered part of Europe because it's capital is in the European portion.
as i remember okur broke yao's foot last year right? what next??? now that's scary its yao against the jazz (Okur) and the refs!!! hahaha
now that i think of it, how would yao defend him outside the 3 point line?? who would defend the paint??? Hmmmm this calls for mutombo and yao combination! Do it JVG, let them play together at the same time! hehehe
Yes, Turkey is in both Europe and Asia. Different people have different opinions on whether or not it is "European." It is European in some ways and not in others. Okur's style of play, however, and in fact the style of play in Turkey, is typically European. So for these purposes, sure, Turkey is European. By the way, Ankara is the capital of Turkey, not Constantinople, which is now in fact Istanbul, not Constantinople, and that's nobody's business but the Turks! What was this thread about again?
New name of thread: <b>Turkey: asia or europe, the answer revealed</b> Reported by: Mehmet Okur together with Hedo Turkoglu Produced by: Zydrunas "Im not from turkey although i look like one" Ilgauskas
yeah guys lets not go down that very long and political road. by the way Instabul: In stin Poli (which means in the city In Greek)
You guys should stop this stupid discussion of "Oh watch out for Okur.....", "Oh, Yao Ming should be careful about Bruce Bowen", blah blah blah........ As Jonatahn Feigen's latest article pointed out, and as Yao Ming himself said in a post-game interview, when a player is on the court, instincts take over. There is no such thing as oh he should be careful about this, and he should be careful about that, or else we shall have a very hesitant Yao Ming, not even dare to play physical contact defense.
Through a thorough statistical analysis, I have discovered that Yao is most likely to be injured by players that are either white or black. He should be careful when playing against players in either category. Likewise, I have discovered that when referees are in the game, especially ones with whistles Yao is unlikely to get any calls in his favor.
