According to WHTR 13 in Indianapolis, a deal has been completed that will send Al Harrington to the Indiana Pacers .

The full details of the trade are yet to be released, but RealGM.com will continue to update our users as the deal becomes official.

The Pacers have a $7.5 million trade exception, which will likely be involved in the deal.

The Warriors and Bulls were the two other teams believed to be most interested in acquiring Harrington.

No package of players makes sense including the TE except for S-Jax and Harrison.

Yea the rockets could have really used him as that third scoring option. Especially since Mike James didnt sign with us. By the way i met Mike James when I went to play basketball at Royal Oaks, and he said that the fact that V-Span would probably not be signed if he joined, factored into his decision to ask for more and join Minnesota. He said he understood what it was like to be given a chance(since he was undrafted and had a hard way to the league). And his dog's name is Destiny.

Man Mike James loves to make himself look good...the guy knows how to brag just as well as he knows how to ball (Im suprised he didnt go to the media with this as being his reason for not joining the rockets)...but if that was sincerely the reason he did not join the rockets then he is alot more kind hearted than I would have given him credit for.

What would the Rockets want Al Harrington for? He's at best a younger quicker version of Juwan Howard-- semi-decent scorer at PF who can't rebound. He can play SF, too, but with Battier, TMac, and even Snyder (who is 6'7'' and 228) around, why add another SF?

Man hes ten times more athletic than Juwan Howard, and can shoot it all the way out to the three land. Plus he would complement Yao extremely well, and would have given them a scoring option every night unlike Juwan who is at the twilight of his career.

I see. So is the same formula that Morey uses in finding his players?

Hey man, Mike James is a super-duper human being.

Without him signing in Minny, Kill Bill wouldn't get a chance in Houston and Marcus Banks wouldn't get a great opportunity in PHX.

Mike creates employment opportunities everywhere in the league!

That's just BS. V-Span is employed and happy in Greece.

Plus, when he joins Minn and takes their spot, then supposedly another potential NBA player won't be hired by Minn. If he really means it, he should just retire.

Old news, check INSIDE the thread, not at the beginning, I reported it and yes I am making it known for ONE reason. Don't count on the rookies, I've called two already(PHX-Banks, IND-Harrington), so just cause I'm a rookie, makes you no better than me. I just wanted to say that, sorry if I got off-topic here, too, hehe.

    1. Why did anyone think he was a possibility for us?
    2. TE can't be combined with players. Atlanta had to choose between a S&T with GSW (Troy Murphy and his huge contract) and Indiana ($7.5 TE and draft pick) or watch Harrington walk. They apparently preferred Indiana's deal.
    3. Al Harrington is not a real 4. He played it in Atlanta cause they had about 12 other guys at the 2 and 3. At best he's a tweener that has no interest in rebounding or defense. Good scorer all over the court.
    4. Draftboy, ease up on proving how great you are. Just let things happen.

If you read that thread, someone took a shot right at me for it. So I'm trying to let him know something back. That shot he took was a link to rookie bashing. It's not my fault I cannot post a new topic.

What are you trying to let me know back? I'm not bashing you. I'm just saying that you shouldn't derail threads just because you think you're going to get some sort of "respect" out of it. You posted the same post in a thread in the GARM as well. Now I think you're just looking for attention.

If Pacers is getting Harrington with starting salary of 7.5M, this is very good deal for them.

You know,Nene got 60M/5 year and Wilcox/Gooden asked for the same.
