Sorry, but it is time to face the truth. This team is going nowhere, not this year or any year in the near future.

The ideal scenario, I think, would be for us to keep Yao and McGrady (of course), and Luther Head, C. Hayes, and perhaps Swift for a 2nd team off the bench.

Everyone else needs to go, including the coaching staff.

Not knowing any of the business and financial aspects of owning a NBA team, I am totally clueless on how to chunk these losers, and rebuild quickly as Yao and hopefull tMac, reach their peak. But, it DOES need to be done soon.

We have a BAD, BAD team. A losing team.

Need some players who can shoot wide open shots.

Yao and Tmac get teamates wide open looks, but for some reason, we have a bunch of no shooting role players.

Great work CD and JVG !

this years performance has more to do with injury than anything else.

With Tmac having chronic back problems we need to get a 3rd option scorer for next yr

    lose: Sura/Wesley/Bowen

bring in Cassell as backup pg and maybe another scorer to replace Wesley

I'm really really glad you created a whole new thread about this. Such an original idea. There really aren't any other threads in this forum that make the same statement. Great job.

I should have included Alston, as a backup point guard. So sad we sunk so low.

Worst part is, we don't even know if tMac will ever be the same.

I am prepared to be dismantled for the comments, but I think I am the majority sentiment here.

Sorry Droxford, I either missed those threads or you are in denial.

I don't follow every thread, so I could have messed up.

The coach gots to go. HE fails to inspire his players and his gameplan fails to succeed. I like wut he has done with Yao, but not what he has done with TMac or any other player he has been handed. JVG is a guy who likes thing his way and only his way. HE can never adapt. For that reason, he has to go.

I wouldn't blink a eye if Jeff was fired but still, have you seen the talent outside of Yao and Tmac? Forget all that "inspire" crap, most of our surrounding players are second rate starters....barely.

That is so illustriative of my point. Even our scouting staff needs to go.

How could we aquire Swift, Alston, Anderson, and yet, none of them even remotely live up to the expectations we had of them in the offseason? (I must be forgetting someone else as well.)

And we traded our only role players who could shoot, Padgett and James.

    How could this possibly be?

What we need is consistency day in and day out...Its annoying when you see our players just make every bucket one day and the next day can't hit anything. I'm also annoyed with the moves this team has made before the deadline. All they did was just sign a bunch of scrubs. Besides Yao and T-mac this whole team needs to change dramatically. I honestly believed this team was going to be a contender this year but I guess the players added were not a good fit.

I think the management is already thinking of next season. Next season it will be a much different team.

Yeah, it's terrible how all he has done with Tracy is give him back injury after back injury. We need to find a coach who doesn't injure his superstars.

I hate what he has done with David Wesley and given him all sorts of injuries that hampered his otherwise deadly 3 point shooting.

I hate how he took a promising rookie in Luther Head, gave him way too many minutes and ran him right into that bloody rookie wall -- when he could have simply put on a jersey himself and played backup point guard behind David Wesley. That would have been truly inspiring.

I hate how he took Keith Bogans, an injury riddled scrub and turned him into a quality backup SF (dang, he should have injured him instead of T-Mac).

I hate how he took Stro just when he had some promise and infected him with conjuctivitis.

I hate how he took Bobby Sura and injured the crap out of his knee, rendering him useless to us the entire year.

I hate how he took Derek Anderson and turned him into a lame piece of rubber.

I hate how he made Deke and Barry older than Methuselah in his prime.

I hate how he took an undrafted NBDL scrub like Chuck Hayes and turned him into a quality player. Those are the type of players you should injure, not superstars like T-Mac.

I hate how, when we got our starters back and started winning at a .750 clip, he came back and injured T-Mac and Wesley again, effectively destroying any hope of us making the playoffs.

Every move JVG has made has been downright terrible. What a terrible coach. He needs to go NOW.

These threads are indicative of the mounting frustration, but none encapsulate the severity of the problem as mine does. :)

And why does C Hayes get such sparse time, when JVG admires hustle? And why was our only possible 3 pt sharp-shooter, Barry, released.

None of this makes sense any more.
