Brilliant observation. While Iverson has at least played hard when not injured since then, his teams have virtually accomplished nothing.
They can afford it if they are willing to go into Luxary Tax land. Some teams like the Mavs, Knicks and Blazers have owners that are willing to do that. They are hugely rich. Alexander has money, but not falling out of his pocket like those owners.
Toronto DID get 2 first rounders in the deal. Philly's - which will likely be this coming draft, and Denver's - which will likely come the following summer. Both are partially protected, but lotto picks nonetheless.
This guy is blowing up in NJ, tonight he already has 43 pts with 9:45 left in the 4th. This shows how bad he was be lazy in Toronto!
Carter is playing the best ball in the league right now --- hands down! The guy is doing it all by himself, not relying heavily on a PG to create dunks or easy shots for him. That's why he is a superstar.
I used to love watching Carter play, hes great but until he learns how not to be a jackass and works out so he doesnt get injured like a lil girl.
After scoring 43, Carter gets ejected in the fourth for going after Bruce Bowen, who undercut him on when he was shooting in the hope of injuring him. Anyone else see this?
Saw it on the highlights. Bowen better not try that with T-Mac or Deke and his elbows are going to pay him a visit.
ANOTHER 40pt game for VC. How do you think the Raptors are feeling now after they got back 10 cents on the dollar. Is that the Canadian exchange rate these days?
Ha Ha, it looks like the Raptors made a big mistake ---- of course that is until VC goes down with another injury.
