Smoked meats can't be good for your colon (my dad had colon cancer recently, so i am a bit hyper aware now...)
Sodium, that goes for any eating out..

But overall, eating a lot of beef, I feel blah after. I used to put down 1-2lbs of bbq like it was nothing.
Now I get nauseous after 1/4lb of brisket..

100%. Craft and microbreweries are EVERYWHERE.

Everyone wants to get big enough to sell to the big boys I guess.

Demeris is right there with Papas.

My friend had an observation once and it's proven to be true nearly 100% of the time. If a BBQ place serves fries, the BBQ is going to be terrible. It's weird...but it keeps proving to be true over and over again. Papas BBQ? Great fries...awful bbq.

Lol, that sounds like excellent advice. I can't recall ever being at a bbq joint that serves fries (I think I went to Pappas twice 20+ years ago and have no recollection other than not wanting to go back).

I just remembered that Demeris (I knew I recognized that name) were the guys who catered all of our sports banquets in Jr High and HS, that's *all* I remember about them.

Demeris gets a demerit from me.

    Papas is poopoo.

Pinkerton's is a higher tier. Feges is a higher tier. Etc...

I like Khoi though since it's different. It's more than just Texas BBQ - it's Houston bbq.

    Anyways. Carryon.

Just saw this Pinkertons is now open. Almost within walking distance of my house. Does it get the Clutchfans seal of approval? Or should I save my money?

Wth are you talking about? You were supposed to be the say on the seal of approval on this location.

But overall, pink curtains is definitely a seal of approval from me, personally.

I'll give it a try in the next week or two and report back. Apologies for failing in my duties.

I only posted because I saw it open for business and with all the signage for the first time driving to work this morning. I'd completely forgotten they were putting it in and it kind of startled me. And made me hungry.

Name your Houston "cuisine" restaurant that should never close:

    Ninfas Navigation: Texmex
    This Is It: Soul Food
Goode Co Seafood: 2 dishes (gumbo and campechana)
    ? else

    Name more

Their food was good but IIRC, they charged for bread, which kinda pissed me off.
