Good point. No back-to-backs for FVV or KD. Aim for ~65 games from KD, somewhat more for FVV. Tari seems an open question. Not at all clear that he will have chronic health problems. I don't recall any player having a growth on a bone removed, and what that portends—if anything. Handling him gently this year might just have been a temporary thing while he recovered from the injury/procedure. We got any doctors in the house?
They have plenty of time to extend him if they are ok with his medicals. Probably just keeping their powder dry if something pops up they can’t resist.
Got news for you, no one is offering anything fantastic for.cam. if you were the fan base of another team and saw his numbers and then found out your team offered something fantastic for that dude wouldn't you be pissed?
Still 35 - as in the percentage likelihood that he remains in Houston. Come on boys - lets get this up to 100 pages!
They can't extend him after October.....he will then be a RFA next offseason. The majority wanted Jalen, the smart ones wanted Mobley.....never trust the majority. DD
I view Cam as a microwave scorer on the level of a Ben Mathurin or Shaedon Sharpe. Below average defensive awareness with way above average scoring ability. Unfortunately, Cam is such a butthead that no one wants to coach him. The Rockets need someone with his scoring ability, but the book is out on Cam's lack of coachability. I would suck it up if I was Ime & Stone and play Cam 20-24 minutes in the beginning of the season because I think he will produce on the court - and then try to flip him if increased playing time doesn't cure his attitude problem.
Rockets are pretty much going to be hard capped from making any moves through out the regular season. Their is not even enough money to even give the vet min to someone. Might as well keep Cam and sell him at the deadline if needed. I don't think his value will change much and you'll have him ready in case someone goes down with injury for an extended time. Unless you're getting a first rounder, I don't want to trade him just to trade him.
Move him or don't. Don't really care. The issue is, he might not see the floor as there will be 7-8 people better than him on the team at all times. If he had a better attitude things would work out so much better for him.
If we traded Cam for any of the following, I would call it a win (for now): Dyson Daniels (would take some more like Nate + pick) Christian Braun (would need multiple picks) Keon Ellis Scotty Pippen Jr. (j/k... sorta) Jaylen Clark If not, I would hold (& play him) until at least trade deadline. But if Twolves would be willing to swap Jaylen CLARK for Cam, I would strongly consider it.
