Exactly. The NFL, more than any other sport, the opening day 53 and the mid-season roster have massive variance. Every position group in football is like the 6th starter in baseball - the “first reserve” WILL play a significant role during the season. Fans asking “why are they signing or drafting position X when they already have that position group settled?” are almost always just looking at the starters.
I think it was a solid pick, listening to John Harris as it happened in real time was fun, he was pumped for this guy who is an above average RB at catching the ball out of the backfield and can be a true 3rd down back and will be able to spell Mixon.
