5 game losing streak and 2 wins this month w/ the nets? He ain’t coming here lol. He’ll sign with the cavs and fit in seamlessly
Is it really this bad? We have to hope Simmons' back can hold together so we have someone adequate to run the offense with FVV out?
Nah if Simmons signs it should be to give us another PF option off the bench, until Jabari gets back. When healthy Simmons can play defense, rebound and run fast breaks. Dillon is killing us with his lack of rebounding and Tari having to sit every other game also is hurting. Hope some shooters get bought out and we actually are willing to pay them. Reed or FVV need to seriously step up their shooting % or we are screwed the rest of the year. What are the odds that Jabari comes out red-hot when he gets back? Not good, in my opinion. Looks like we'll be adding another rookie, hope there is a legitimate knock down shooter around the 12th pick or so. Just kidding the Rockets are going to trade that swap for future considerations.
I don't think Simmons would be a bad pickup at all. You just have to keep your expectations in check about the reality of him missing a lot of games, playing limited minutes, etc. I'd use him the way we've used Adams in terms of frequency of getting on the floor, minutes, etc. He does provide something that I think Fred's absence has made it clear we need--another player who can handle and pass the ball and set things up in the half court. He can also play several positions, so regardless of if and where we get more injuries, he should help with our depth.
Not interested in him as PG. We already have a PG who can't shoot, that being Amen. He would be interesting as a backup for Sengun. Watching Adams try to defend around the perimeter is painful. Also would love to see Simmons grabbing a rebound and pushing in transition with all of our athletes. We already run so many plays with Sengun make the reads at the top of the key - Simmons would fit into that role.
Truly stupid if we bring in somebody with even less outside shooting ability than we already have lmao
Amen can shoot. Just not threes. Just because you are not a good three-point shooter doesn't mean you can't shoot. In the 10-16 range he shoots 46 percent
Amen right now prime Simmons, so now we can have prime Simmons and over-the-hill Simmons on the same team. Reed is also a bit like Simmons in the worst way.
