It has nothing to do with his personal relationships. Couldn't care less who he bangs, not my business. I just don't think he seems like a hard worker who cares about improving and competing hard. And I base this on how he's repeatedly shown up out shape, is a mediocre rebounder and defender for a man with his physical talent (he could be Barkley-esque in that department if he cared), and how he's been in a downward slide ever since he got a max contract.
He may be the ultimate high risk high reward player in the NBA. When he is on, darn near impossible to stop. Always been a very intriguing talent.
Depending on cost, you would take the chance but you don't want to blow up what we have for it. The guy is unstoppable heading to the rim. The question is his fit with Sengun but I would trust the coaching staff to work something out.
Nope, not then Not then either Still nope And guess what, NO! Y’all been chasing this dude since 2019
What an incredible use of visual media for a post. If we had some kind of Oscars here I’d nominate this one for best cinematography
ok. What is his contract? If we can match the money somehow and they can give us 3 unprotected firsts.
A lot of this same stuff could have been said about Harden when he was here, but there is no doubt that for several years we were a significantly better team with him on the court. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get Zion. One full season without injury and he’ll never be on the market again. HUGE risk, but Fertitta is a gambler so this would be his best shot at a title in the near future.
It sounds harsh but Zion Williamson is a loser. Why? Because he doesn’t really care about winning or being great at basketball. He isn’t a bad person- but he isn’t someone you depend on to lead you anywhere. At least Mitchell cares about basketball and winning and his legacy…. But I don’t want him either.
James Harder cares about basketball- he cares about his career… Zion literally doesn’t care. Not the same thing.
If the Pels have Zion on the trade block, that says it all for me. Not just that, he often wears his lack of passion for basketball on his sleeve. Hard pass unless something like Jalen, Jabari and the #3 pick is enough. I doubt Zion is traded because no team will be foolish enough to make a trade worthwhile for the Pels.
