With Javier very close to returning, hopefully today will be Hunter Brown's final time in the starting rotation.

Can Hunter even be a good bullpen arm when his first 1-2 innings are always awful?

He started out well last year, I remember him carving up the rays in the trop last year, then all of a sudden turned into trash. What the heck happened to him

He was told he had to get used to Maldy in case Diaz got hurt.

yes. There is a completely different approach mentally. More of a leave it all on the line. Not guaranteed to work, but many pitchers have walked this path.

Whatever is wrong w/ Hunter, it is between the ears.

He walked 4 today. 2 had an 0-2 count and another had a 1-2 count.

He needs to trust his stuff. If he can get strikes at the beginning of the count, he can the rest of count.

Stop changing how you pitch and nibbling just because you get to 2 strikes.

Just tell him the 1st inning is the 3rd.

Until there's pitcher's back healthy, he's gonna be in the 6-man rotation unless they have some magical youngster who I do not know about.
