With the benefit of hindsight, can we admit BOB/ Texans won that trade? A 10 yr shutdown LT is worth quite the premium as evidenced by today.
CJ the rookie put on a master class today. Stroud 274 yards 3TD RTG 157.2 Mahomes 262 yards 1TD RTG 83.6 Flacco 307 yards 1TD 2INT RTG 80.6 Tagovailoa 199 yards 1TD 1INT RTG 63.9
Your post has me momentarily reflective. I am, officially, an old-timer now. When the Rockets won in 1994, it was all good for me as a Houston native. Bit by bit, I stopped being reflexively fatalistic about sports. The Astros recent success has been the best. Still, I never loved a team like I loved the Luv Ya Blue era Oilers and I never was as crushed by anything in sports like the Run and Shoot playoffs chokes against Denver, Buffalo and Kansas City. I did not think incredible football happiness would ever happen to me with the Texans being who they have been for 20 years. Now, there is the most hope I have ever felt about football in Houston. Win, or lose next week, I will certainly take it.
I felt those same emotions with the Oilers. It was an era I loved every part of. That type feeling has never come close for me until now. It's awesome.
Contain Lamar, don’t let him scramble - basically play him like we did Russell and I think we will be okay…if he runs for over 50 yards we in trouble (much like Mahomes did Dolphins)
Remember some “fans” said Arizona was a team with a brighter future then us after the D-hop trade lol And they said Arizona would win a Super Bowl before the Texans lol But they called me krazy lol
I was never mad about the trade. What pissed me off was letting go of Duane brown. We already had a good lt and we could have kept our draft picks
